El Michoacano Restaurant - Freedom

Rating: 4.3 /5
Rosa Yanez El Michoacano is a true gem! We visited last Friday and were blown away by the authenticity. The chicken fajitas were sizzling, with perfectly tender meat and charred veggies, and the corn tortillas were fresh and delicious. Our server, Jackie was friendly and attentive, and we even got to chat with the owner who was so welcoming. The atmosphere is lively but cozy. Were already planning our next visit to try their brunch on the weekend.

Thyme - Palo Alto

Eyal Shahar A perfect place for a romantic date. Awesome food (we went for 4 starters And 2 deserts), easy listening music, quiet, and a friendly waiter, Maurizio. My favorites: scallops with caviar, roasted beets, goat cheese with dried apricot.

Blue Burro - Riverside - Riverside

Rating: 4.4 /5
Scott McCutchan I had the Blues Famous Rolled Tacos. Its 5 beef taquitos smothered with carne asada, shrimp, lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, cotija cheese, sour cream, guacamole and salsa fresca. They are generous with sauces (4 kinds). Nick was super nice and friendly. I will definitely be back. The flavors were bomb!

Velocity Island Park - Woodland

Rating: 4 /5
Caden Velasquez Great summertime attraction for all ages. Helpful staff will teach you to wakeboard. Bar and restaurant are stocked with a wide variety of quality items. Beach rentals are available and aqua park is super fun. Pricing is fair and they have package deals to take advantage of. Definitely covid friendly; outdoor seating, socially distanced stickers, constant sanitizing of equipment and surfaces, and dedicated personal areas available.

Nicolas Cocina de Herencia - Carmel-By-The-Sea

Rating: 4.3 /5
MARY ALLAG This was hands down the best Mexican food I have ever had — and I live in Los Angeles. Nicolas blows places like Javier’s and La Cha Cha out of the water. The flavors were vibrant, balanced, and genuinely exciting. The prices were incredibly fair for the quality, and the entire staff was lovely. Our server Gina was fantastic, and Chef Andres was so warm and welcoming — he visited every table and made the whole place feel like a family-run gem (which it is). The dishes you cannot miss: the bone marrow elote the birria queso dip the short rib (unreal) The cocktails were excellent, the menu variety was surprising in the best way, and every bite felt thoughtful and elevated. This restaurant would absolutely thrive in LA. We were blown away and already can’t wait to come back.
