4 /5 xee xiong: Friendly staff. Walk up to counter to order and they bring out your food. Self serve water station. Food was good, really enjoyed the maple butter cornbread muffin but portion was small for the cost. Wanted to order the sliders and try different flavors but that wasnt allowed so we chose other items on the menu.

4 /5 Winston Blakely: Bawk! by Urban Roots was a good dining experience. I love the design and style of the restaurant. The spray paint/grafiti street style interior is really nice. The did was good. The collard greens were really good. The chicken was good. The oysters were good as well. The stout ybeer was a surprise. I regimen Bawk! by Urban Roots for anyone who loves soul food. The restaurant is small and the line can get long. Getting a seat at dinner time is extremely difficult. Overall, it was a good experience. Ill arrive earlier next time.

5 /5 Heather Manley: We decided to go there and buy food in hopes of using their restroom, but walked out with a new place to eat before going to a show at Ace of Spades. We split an order or Bawk fries, and let me tell you, they are AMAZING. Every component was straight fire. The waffle fries were crispy on the outside, with fluffy soft potato inside. The chicken? Crunchy breading with juicey, flavorful chicken meat. THE PICKLES?! AMAZING. We tried it with a spicey maple sauce and it was a perfect amount of sweet heat. Honestly, I need to go back and order chicken and waffles with that sauce on top. It was delicious. The food filled both of us. I also tried the hibiscus lemon drop Bawktail and it was fantastic. Sweet, floral, refreshing. Also the glass was adorable. BAWK is seat yourself and you order at the counter. They bring you your food. The staff was also super sweet. Definitely a new favorite!

1 /5 Dominique Brun: I was so excited to eat from here as this was our date night. We rented a movie and I put in an order for catfish, rice and beans, collard greens and honey cornbread. When we got our food, I was SHOCKED AT how LITTLE EFFORT was put into our $65 order. The rice and beans was literal soup. Soup! With no salt the beans were undercooked. The batter on the catfish was bland bland bland! And the collard greens were cooked in a tub of vinegar . Totally disappointing. If it wasn’t so cold outside I would’ve got my money back but I took this as a loss. Not sire if it was just a bad night cause last time we ate here it was absolutely delicious. But tonight, ball missed. Terrible terrible awful no seasoning at all. Will try again and hope for better next time.

5 /5 Aaron Brown: Went here happy hour on a Friday afternoon. Not crowded, great prices, fast service. Honestly, this place surprised me, the chicken sandwich (with the maple sweet heat) was really really good! Definitely worth checking out. And the happy hour specials are definitely worth it!
