Birria Mi Rancho - (Near Oxnard, CA)

4 /5 Eric Perez: The birria plate was very good—the birria itself is tasty and well-seasoned. My only issue was with the quesotacos. While they tasted good, they were much smaller than expected. Quesotacos are usually made with larger corn tortillas, but these were standard taco-size tortillas with very little meat. This was especially disappointing because the meat portions on the birria plate and the birria nachos were very generous, which made the lack of birria in the tacos stand out even more. Overall, my family and I enjoyed the food, but I was still hungry after choosing the quesobirria tacos. I would return in the future, but I’d opt for a plate instead.

4 /5 Chunky: One of the best restaurants in Oxnard. Been here for take out and delivery and both ways, it’s always great. Food is packaged very nicely and always hot and fresh. The birria is some of the best I’ve had. The prices are fair and you get a lot of food. The beans are delicious and the tortillas are hand made. Both red and green salsas are spicy and extremely tasty. Also, their choco-flan is wonderful!!! This is a no frills place but the food speaks for itself. Parking can be a challenge but it’s worth a short walk for the amazing food you’ll have.

5 /5 Mel Luna: I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’m very accustomed to traditional Birria and consomé from Jalisco, but this place is very good. You can taste the spices and the authentic flavors both in the birria and consomé. The tortillas hechas a mano were very soft and have good flavor. The salsa bar for you to get your own things is a huge plus. They have really cold cans of Coke Zero (my favorite) and most importantly: great customer service! This guy knows how to run a business.

5 /5 Joana Ventura: Came to this place thinking it would taste like your average birrieria spot. (Americanized) and let me tell you i was glad i was wrong! This Birria is legit!!! Their birria is full of flavor, their consome is delicious!!! Hands down the best birria I have had at a restaurant… I never really eat birria out, unless its my mothers. Let me tell you, this birria had me debating if my moms was better than theirs or not, and thats A LOT to say! You wont be disappointed. I had their birria sopes and my husband had their birria tacos. We’ll definitely be back!
