BJs Restaurant & Brewhouse - (Near Salinas, CA)

5 /5 MJ Brewer: New to Cali and checking out the restaurants. Boy, did we hit the jackpot on this one! Birthday celebration couldn’t have gone any better. With meat that literally melts in your mouth—I promise, you’ve never had it like this! Our server made sure that every need was met, accepted a challenge to select my food, and did a fabulous job at it. Moreover, she wasn’t circling like a seagull, so we had time for a private discussion.

5 /5 Valerie Aguayo: I had a great experience at BJs, and a big part of it was our server Alexia. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. Our drinks and food came out quickly, she checked in at the perfect times without being overwhelming. She was also really knowledgeable about the menu and gave helpful recommendations. Overall, the service made the meal even better, and Id definitely come back because of it. Highly recommend.

2 /5 Louis Carrillo Jr.: My friend and I went to the Salinas restaurant on 12-30-25. Although, after we were seated, it did take awhile for our server to come to our table. I will say that after he came to our table, his service was great. We ordered a 6 piece pizza. For the both of us, it was mostly bread with the toppings. It was like French bread with toppings. My friend was not happy cause she said that when she ordered pizza here before she really liked it. I felt the same way but I dealt with it cause it still tasted pretty good. Thank you for your time

1 /5 Esther Lee: Worst service ever. It took about 20 minutes for a waiter to take our order, followed by another 30 minutes for our food to arrive. We waited around 10 more minutes for extra plates to share, but no one brought them, so we had to go to the server station and get them ourselves. After that, it took another 20 minutes just to receive to-go boxes. In the end, we had to scan the QR code and pay on our own due to the lack of service. We also observed multiple tables leave after waiting over 30 minutes, unable to get a staff member’s attention just to place an order. Our waiter appeared distracted and disengaged, which made the experience feel unprofessional and uncomfortable. We did see the store manager speaking with and apologizing to another table, but from what we observed, there was no effective follow-up or improvement in service afterward. Because of the lack of service throughout the entire visit, we did not feel the service warranted a tip. Why have waitstaff at all if customers are forced to serve themselves? You might as well operate this as a self-service restaurant. Due to the poor service and lack of effective management, we will not be returning and would strongly caution others before dining here.

5 /5 Rose Gomez: The experience there was awesome. The food was excellent. We had a very customer oriented waiter, Gio. He made us feel like royalty, very courteous, very well well mannered, and in good spirits; had a smile on his face when he served us.He made us enjoy the night even more so then we expected. He should actually be a trainer of waiters and waitresses , so everyone could be served in the manner that we were served. It was excellent!
