4 /5 Esbilally Brown: Today, just like on several other occasions, I came to enjoy a nice breakfast here with my friend. We’re local customers, and in previous visits the service has always been decent not excellent, but not bad either. However, today I want to highlight the service from a new guy named Alfredo who gave us truly exceptional service. He was more attentive to us than my actual server. Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with my server: she never smiled or showed any empathy toward us. The things we asked for to go boxes, A1 sauce, and more coffee never came from her, but thanks to Alfredo he anticipated every need we had. While chatting with him, he told me he’s only been here for a week and is still in training, but that he has five years of experience as a server. And honestly, you can tell. I would love to give this place five stars solely because of Alfredo service and the food, which was truly delicious, but I can’t do that because of the poor service we received from the server whose name I don’t even remember since she never introduced herself. I’d like to think she was simply having a bad day, but even then, she showed no empathy at any moment. Even though Alfredo was handling multiple tables, bussing dishes, and cleaning in what was clearly a very busy workday, he remained attentive, professional, and always smiling. It’s very clear he’s a great person; we insisted more than three times for him to accept the tip and he kept refusing. Thankfully, I made sure he took it before I left, telling him that if he didn’t, I’d have to mention it to his manager. On my next visit, I will definitely ask to be attended by Alfredo.
