A & B Life Adventures My wife and I went to Larsen’s Grill located in Oxnard at the Collection to celebrate a special occasion. Larsen’s Grill was a fantastic experience and one of the best tasting food we have ever had in Ventura County. The staff is extremely nice and attentive. The signature drinks are a hit, they were delicious and perfectly prepared. A friend recommended the steaks from Larsen’s so we had to try them. I got the dry aged ribeye steak with the blue cheese steak topper and mushrooms with mac & cheese as a side. My wife got the wet aged New York Steak with Brussels sprouts as her side. The steaks were of excellent quality and tasted fantastic. The salads were also delicious, I recommend the wedge side salad and it was topped with the best tasting bacon. The restaurant has a great bar area with a live piano player. Overall the restaurant had a great vibe and the food was incredible. If you want to have an excellent dinning experience, I would highly recommend Larsen’s Grill in Oxnard at the Collection.

Lara What an absolute gem! My husband and I were looking for a new place to try in Ventura and we found Cafe Zack and decided to give it a try based on all of the great reviews. Cafe Zack did not disappoint! The restaurant has a small cozy interior space, a beautiful bar area and a lovely outdoor space that can accommodate small or large groups. They even have cute little chair shaped purse hangers at each table on the patio which was such a special little touch. The wait staff are incredible. Very friendly and attentive. Thank you to our awesome server, Matt, who truly made us feel welcome. The food was excellent. We started with the split pea soup which was flavored perfectly. I had the Norwegian salmon which was cooked perfectly and included roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. My husband had the filet mignon which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We were so full that we did not have any room for dessert but we will definitely be back again to enjoy this amazing restaurant.

Avery Johnson Went there with my wife for a nice dinner and the place felt like a time capsule in the best way. From the dark wood interior to the silver carts rolling by with giant cuts of meat, everything had that old-school charm. The waiter came over in a crisp jacket and took his time explaining things, which I appreciated. It felt formal without being stuffy. I ordered the prime rib cooked medium rare and it came out exactly right. Juicy, flavorful, and carved right at the table. The Yorkshire pudding was soft in the middle and crisp on the edges, and the creamed spinach was better than I expected. I’m not usually big on salad but the spinning salad bowl show was a nice touch, even if the dressing leaned a little too tangy for my taste. It’s definitely not a cheap dinner, but it didn’t feel wasteful either. We left full and happy, and it felt like a special occasion even though it wasn’t one. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the whole experience. I’d go back again without hesitation.

X Joseph (Joe) We had an amazing lunch today filled with delicious Polynesian and Hawaiian-inspired flavors—but the true highlight wasn’t the food or even the stunning view. It was our incredible server, Ava. From the moment we sat down, Ava guided us through the menu with such enthusiasm and knowledge that we assumed she was a seasoned pro. To our surprise, it was only her second day serving! She recommended standout dishes that ended up being our absolute favorites, and her understanding of the drink and food menu was unmatched. Ava made our experience not just enjoyable but genuinely memorable. We will absolutely be back—and when we are, we’ll be requesting her by name. She’s a gem and a true asset to this establishment!

Sandra Dawn It was such a joy with Gioia (Joya)! We are a little bit of foodies & love trying new places around town. Osteria Panevino doesnt disappoint! Beautiful restaurant and lovely waitstaff from front to back! Food AMAZING! From bread to dessert. Will definitely be back, already have my next dinner in mind. So excited to try the Salmon next visit! Possibly our new go tooverall! !

Genevieve Leveille The usual adage is a great view equals bad food and bad service. The Lobster negates that saying 100 folds. Being across from the Santa Monica Pier with a view to die for, the food is nothing to sneeze at. The freshness of the oysters and the amazing temperature of the lobster was perfect. We tried the clam chowder and love the crunchiness of the celery and the velvety broth filled with Clams not bits but huge pieces. The crab fried rice was amazing and a great folder for the buttery spiny lobster. The chowder was served by the chef and the whole restaurant was at our service in a very non intrusive way. Andrew our waiter was amazing. His attitude and recommendations were on point. I had to skip the Expresso Martini as it would have been a tip too much. Now what we cannot wait for is that hour during happy hour when the oysters are a gift. As at $2 it is a major give away. About to take a wonderful nap while still having dreams of the amazing lunch. Thank you, The Lobster.
