Blackjack Burger - (Near Weaverville, CA)

4 /5 Tom Yoder: First, I rarely give 5 star reviews. Second, this spot has one of the best burgers available anywhere for the price & unpretentious atmosphere. Simple, no fuss, no fluff just a very easy-going menu served out of a simple trailer. The fella (he said he was the father of Blackjack the owner/cook) is friendly, honest & easy going. The waffle fries were delicious as was my Blackjack Burger. If you are passing thru, pull in, but, don’t expect a seat in the extremely casual set-up. But definitely pull in.

The staff were wonderful, welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to walk us through the menu. Their kindness and enthusiasm made the experience feel personal, not just transactional. Service was quick, but never rushed. Within minutes, we were digging into what can only be described as a masterclass in burger-making. The patty was perfectly cooked, juicy without being greasy, and nestled in a toasted bun with just the right balance of structure and softness. The fries? Golden, crisp, addictive. And don’t get me started on the sauces, each one felt thoughtfully crafted, elevating every bite. Black Jack Burger is a true diamond in the rough, a place that talks the talk and walks the walk. If you’re anywhere nearby, don’t think twice. This isn’t just another burger joint. It’s the burger joint.
