Cajun Kitchen Cafe - (Near Goleta, CA)

3 /5 Toby Bautista: This place used to be Rustys back in 2008! Im glad its Cajun Kitchen now. Tried Cajun Kitchen and for the most part the food was good. However, the beignet was not soft and fluffy like Ive had at other establishments. While it didnt bother me, someone in my party that does not eat any seafood and notedthat some of the fried items had a hint of seafood taste. It may have been fried in same oil as seafood items. The pork chop on the other hand was delicious and bumped this review from 3 stars to 4 stars. On the drive back from Santa Barbara to LA the food didnt sit well with me. It could have been quality/freshness of ingredients went a little down. It was great for nostalgia, just not as great as I remember it.

3 /5 Jay Tkachuk: Not a slice of New Orleans, but the only, and thus the best, shrimp and sausage gritz found in the UCSB area. Overall, a solid diner experience. The place is a bit old, but is clean. Menu has gluten-free options, if that is important to you. Well be back.

4 /5 Maya K: Good food, not so great coffee. Its very much a diner. I didnt find the seating comfortable, its very crowded. Clearly a popular place. We enjoyed the food. Parking was chaotic.

3 /5 josh_aaron: Why be stingy on a simple breakfast item like French toast. This was one of the most dry French toast I’ve had. They likely only brushed the egg wash on so I was basically having brioche toast with powdered sugar.

5 /5 CHUCKII Dkofi: The chiliquiles, with eggs over medium are very good. The coffee, is a couple steps up from what I anticipated from a breakfast spot. The service is excellent.
