Keegan Smith SEASONAL REVIEW This was such a fun experience! The decor for Christmas in here is so nice. But the food is so worth it and good. The pupu platter was a nice way to try everything- but next time we will just get individual appetizers, especially the “Christmas ham”. We loved getting to see all the fun drinks you could order- it shows you the cups and you can choose based on cup or cocktail- the drinks were very strong. The bibimbap is so good!! Would definitely recommend. The steak and fries is also really great. The poke and the chicken bao can be nice to share or good meals. Would love to come back again during the holidays but also just during the year.

Sarah Wu I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this place! I admit I dont know a ton about moroccan cuisine, but I had the beef (slow cooked short rib) with couscous and it was pretty perfect. The meat was well cooked, service was fast and super friendly, and the bowl had so many flavorful additions (chermoula! Chickpeas! Almonds! Raisins! Pickled onions!). I would totally eat here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the oxbow public market

Heleen Raes My husband and I had a date night out here and loved it! The decor is beautiful and creates and intimate atmosphere. Our drinks were very tasty and more refined than other cocktails we’ve had in the area. The food menu is limited but very tasty, we especially enjoyed the fried plantains. Of note, you need to order at the counter and if you close your tab, there will be no table service and you will need to go back to the counter to order more. There is no parking on site (only for hotel guests) which isn’t great, but there’s free street parking nearby.

Bryan Glinski Absolutely phenomenal! O Bento is hands-down one of the best culinary gems in Humboldt County. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and a sense that this place really cares about quality — not just in food, but in service and vibe too. The bento boxes are beautifully presented and bursting with flavor — fresh, balanced, and thoughtfully crafted. The karaage chicken is crispy perfection, the salmon is buttery and tender, and the pickled veggies and sauces elevate everything. You can taste the love and precision in every bite. What really sets O Bento apart is the commitment to ingredients. Everything feels clean, wholesome, and nourishing without sacrificing an ounce of flavor. It’s the kind of spot that leaves you satisfied but energized, which is rare. If you’re passing through Humboldt or lucky enough to live nearby, this place is a must-visit. Easily one of my favorite meals in Northern California. Can’t wait to come back.

Danielle Roel We ordered the og crispy burger and the one with hash brown in it, and got French fries and onion rings on the side. The food was very fresh and hot, it tasted homemade and had great flavors. The Jamaica is also really good and not too sweet, just the right level of tart. The staff is really friendly and hospitable, the girl (I didn’t get her name) went above and beyond. We also liked that they had games on TV. We will definitely be back!
