Alma Rosa Reed This is real Mexican food! We came twice while on a weekend trip. I’m a tough critic on Mexican restaurants but this little family owned place did not disappoint! They have homemade dishes I grew up eating from my tias and abuela. Esta si es comida Mexicana de verdad! Venimos dos veces mientras visitamos por el fin de semana.

Kristin F If youre hungry in SLO, Hoagies is the move. Portions here are absolutely enormous—they even keep a self-serve stack of takeout containers by the counter, which tells you everything you need to know. Prices might seem a little high at first glance, but when you realize youre getting two meals out of it, its totally worth it. My friend had the club sandwich with onion rings, and both looked amazing—she confirmed they tasted just as good. The sandwich was huge and came with a generous pile of onion rings. I had the chili cheese fries (just the appetizer, mind you) for $10, and it came out in a massive 10- to 11-inch bowl—easily enough for a group. I asked for extra onions and got exactly what I wanted. (Don’t worry, I powered through half.) Parking can be rough—we had to snag a 20-minute spot across the street since the lot was packed at 1:15pm on a weekday—but once inside, food came out fast and hot. The person working the counter was super friendly, too. I ended up ordering a fried chicken salad for delivery later (I’d spotted someone else’s when I was there), and it was just as fresh, tasty, and oversized as everything else. Another friend of mine swears by their wraps—I’ll try one next time. Bottom line: Hoagies is delicious, portions are wild, and you’ll leave full and happy. Highly recommend.

Karthik Srinivasan Great place to stay a night or two for quick access to the southwest entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park. The motel is right next to a country store and a restaurant. Great value, rooms were decent for the price. The restaurant staff are polite and considerate. We lost power for a few hours in the evening, so had to eat dinner under lantern light at the restaurant, but it wasnt too bad. Would visit again.

郁涵（Hannah） This is the second Thai restaurant Ive eaten at in Grass Valley. The presentation of the fresh ingredients looks great. What surprised me the most is that I ordered larb. The lemongrass is fragrant and the lemon is sour and a little spicy. Its completely appetizing. Its served with white rice. It’s really delicious, bite after bite. Definitely recommend this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.

Kevin Shebley Ate at Valentinos. We had 3 different meals that were cooked to purrrfection. I had the steak and eggs. The steak was purfect. The eggs purfect, the hash browns were the best I ever had cooked for me and the toast was cooked to purrrrfection. My sis had the spaghetti, shes Italian and she loved it. Michelle had the Indian fry bread with meat. She loved hers as well. I was very impressed with the quality of the food and the hospitality as well. I will always go back there now when I visit. Best meal on the lake.
