Matt Johnson What a lovely meal and experience. We were able to be seated fairly quick. Amanda was fantastic at helping us navigate the menu and specials. We started with the flaming cheese [cant recall the menu name]... so good. Our table opted for fish plates and a chicken marsalla. Everyone was impressed. The fish was perfect. The chicken, delicious. Plating and pairing was spot on. I enjoyed a small bowl of clam chowder that I will be back for just that alone sometime. To finish, a creme brulee that was a spoon fight till the end. Amanda kept us taken care of the whole time and ensured we had time to enjoy without being rushed. Its not a budget meal, but for me the value is very high. Ill be back and feel like I can recommend a meal here with absolutely zero worries. Thanks for the great dinner.

JA a This place is an amazing gem, small and comfy but an enchanted place to eat in or take home. The various empanadas are delicious, try one of each type and youll be sure to easily find one youll be coming back in for next time. Serving size is great along with the price for a top quality empanada. The staff is exceptional too !

Hugh Hoeger Great place, delicious pub fare, burgers, fish chips, salads and with vegetarian, vegan options and more, locally sourced. Full bar, great beers, and friendly service, more like a locals pub where youll soon get to know the staff. Also, live music on a stage with a real sound system! Check with them for schedule. But worth going just for the ambiance.

The food was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere was perfectly festive — warm, welcoming, and ideal for gathering and connection. We cannot thank the owner, Jose, enough for his outstanding hospitality. He went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that our group felt genuinely welcomed. My wife and I found this place on Google Maps while looking for something new to try—and we’re glad we did! The photos and menu looked promising, and we were in the mood for a good lunch date. As soon as we walked in, the lady who took our order greeted us with a warm welcome and helped us feel right at home. She was quick, polite, and made the whole experience feel personal. The place had a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, perfect for a casual and relaxing couple’s lunch. The food? Excellent. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. You can tell they put care into their dishes, and it shows in the taste. The prices were also really fair for the quality and portion size. All around, this was a great little food adventure for us. If youre local or just passing through Richmond and want good Chinese food with kind service and a calm vibe, V8 Kitchen is a nice choice.
