Gullivers Restaurant - Irvine
Avery Johnson Went there with my wife for a nice dinner and the place felt like a time capsule in the best way. From the dark wood interior to the silver carts rolling by with giant cuts of meat, everything had that old-school charm. The waiter came over in a crisp jacket and took his time explaining things, which I appreciated. It felt formal without being stuffy.
I ordered the prime rib cooked medium rare and it came out exactly right. Juicy, flavorful, and carved right at the table. The Yorkshire pudding was soft in the middle and crisp on the edges, and the creamed spinach was better than I expected. Iâm not usually big on salad but the spinning salad bowl show was a nice touch, even if the dressing leaned a little too tangy for my taste.
Itâs definitely not a cheap dinner, but it didnât feel wasteful either. We left full and happy, and it felt like a special occasion even though it wasnât one. Itâs the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the whole experience. Iâd go back again without hesitation.
