3 /5 Penny Godwin: El Jardin Turlock has always had a good reputation for delicious Mexican food. Their service during the dinner hour, however, leaves a lot to be desired. You can typically expect to wait for them to take your order after at least 15 minutes. Then, you can expect another 30-1.5 for your food. So, although they have great chips and salsa and many tasty dishes, you’ll need to make sure you are not in a hurry when you dine here. There is a large patio area which Is very nice, and they do have heaters they can turn on if it gets cool. You never feel pressure to leave, so you can also expect a nice leisurely time to chat with friends if you choose, which is a plus. Note: Since originally posting this review, the service time has greatly improved. The food is good as always!
