Michael Guynn Plata is a great addition to Janss. Mexican food, but with a bit of an elevated presentation. With this elevation often comes pretentiousness, but not at Plata; flavors and the comforting factor are not lost. Some of the dishes Ive tried havent been my favorite, there are some unique flavor combinations on the menu that dont always work for me. But theyre always executed well. The dining area is clean, modern, and comfortable, and the service is quick and friendly. Definitely a good option if youre in the area.

JEFFERY COMER We had a great dining experience thanks to our server Anna and her suggestions. We started with the Caesar salad and the soup of the day, which was cream of mushroom. I had the buffalo meatloaf, which was fantastic while my wife had to New York strip which she also enjoyed. Watched a little of the World Series while we were eating our dinner and a sports themed baseball dining room. Got the carrot cake to go cause we’re too full after having such a wonderful meal.

mary merkley Food is so delicious!! Great food with even greater staff. Perfect place for a quick bite. The pepper jacket mac and cheese bites and the raspberry and cream Cheese things are seriously the BEST EVER!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!

Anthony Gomez Small but really nice little restaurant that offers amazing beignets and breakfast lunch and more dessert items. Service was great and the beignets were amazing! Got the peach cobbler 8pcs and tasted high quality and delicious! Definitely recommend for a good eat or dessert cravings and I’m excited to try the other flavors and food items they have as well

Anjera C Love this place. I can never go wrong the the RTR bowl with chimichurri sauce. Great value for a meal in the city. Depending on the day I might split up the bowl in two meals. We also got the seasonal squash which is our favorite. It’s sweet savory and really well done. My partner got the salad which was also great. They also have a green apple seasonal sorbet right now that is phenomenal! Its not overly sweet and has a nice tartness to it. Overall can’t go wrong with the food here!

Stephanie Anne Best vegan southern soul food! We got the plate (collard greens, baked beans, Mac and cheese, and Tri tip) and Philly cheesesteak. The tri tip is a must have. Its got a meatball consistency. Collard greens is one of the best ones weve tasted in the nation. The baked beans had its own specialty, its BBQ but its got its own uniqueness to it. The Mac and cheese leans more on the garlicky side. The Philly cheesesteak is very good. It does lack the "meat"-like consistency. It felt like I was eating only the bread and the usual peppers, onions, jalapeños, cheese. Regardless, it was still delicious! My feedback is to get that consistency into the Philly cheesesteak and to lessen the use of plastic in their containers. We ate in, but was given a to-go containers in a plastic bag. Other than that -- I recommend eating here!
