Emerald Bay Bar & Grill - (Near South Lake Tahoe, CA)

5 /5 Catherine Scott: I love this locals bar. The owner is often there serving behind the bar and she could teach a class on hospitality: she’s always friendly and accommodating and makes some darn good drinks. The food is pretty good too. Not fancy dining but they do a good job. Anytime I come to SLT away from my Kingsbury Summit home I make a point to visit this bar. Highly recommend.

5 /5 Athonia Cappelli: came in here on a Tuesday afternoon at around 2 PM and the place was popping. Turns out they have a revolving happy hour. On Tuesday it’s five dollar Tito’s vodka so you can get a Tito’s +2 dollars and you have a bloody Mary for instance. Wednesday is whiskey Wednesday. Friday is seafood day. On Saturdays and Sundays they have a deal on mimosas from 10 AM till 2 PM. I forget what Thursday was sorry Anyway vegans will be pleased to know that they do have a beyond burger and I think if you add a side of jalapeños it can bring up that flavor profile significantly. Cause you know Athonia not afraid of that heat. And you know what else I ain’t afraaaaaaaaaid of that heat neither!! Yeah this is a wonderful place to come after a hike or playing in the snow. Our server was awesome and had a big smile on her face the whole time. She rattled off the happy hour offering which I think would probably take me 20 years to memorize. She has seven years working at this business so she has it down Pat. I’ll be here is so great it makes you wanna come back for more. I love the old time you feel and it just has classic Alpine/Sierra cozy cabin vibes written all over it.

4 /5 Ben Morrison: Great bar and grill. Only a few locals in when we visited, but the beers, service and food were all great. Very generous with the tater tots which were awesome.

5 /5 Nick Jize: Nice rustic outdoor space that is family friendly. Food tasted great. I ordered the Backcountry Bahn Mi. It was good but I’d say it’s more like a great pork sandwich with Bahn Mi fixens.
