Falcon’s Lair - (Near Ripon, CA)

5 /5 E B: Overall great dining experience. Ordered the braised short ribs and tried my friends chicken Parmesan. Both delicious, especially the short ribs. They were extremely tender and full of flavor. Cocktails were very good as well. Garlic Parmesan fries are just try too. Will definitely return.

3 /5 Grace Porras: The atmosphere of this place is absolutely gorgeous! My boyfriend and I came for dinner and originally sat in the lounge area, the chairs are beautiful but super uncomfortable and the seating set up just doesn’t work to be able to eat dinner comfortably (small tables, having to lean down). We realized this seating wouldn’t be ideal for dinner so we asked to move to the bar top instead and were quickly accommodated. The drinks were absolutely delicious and the staff is all very sweet and accommodating. We had the fritto misto as an appetizer and it was good! For dinner we both ordered the filet’s medium rare, and the mashed potatoes and truffle Mac and cheese as sides. We have neverrrrr sent back food especially a filet but it came out basically raw on this inside and it was extremely tough and rubbery, so we did end up sending it back— to which the waitstaff was very understanding and did offer us a comped menu item. We did not complain about the mashed potatoes but I will say they tasted identical to boxed mash potatoes. The truffle mac and cheese was fairly watery when it came out but once it cooled down a bit it was less watery and pretty tasty. Overall I think this place is fantastic for drinks and small bites but I wouldn’t come back for dinner.

5 /5 Edwards Sharmone “2Carry-onsNoDestination”: We went there for my birthday and was given a full 5 star ⭐ experience. I had the Penne Pasta with Grilled Chicken (Penne For Your Thoughts) and my husband had the Short Ribs with Mashed Potatoes. We shared an order of brussel sprouts. The food was great and had lots of flavor. The service was exceptional. We ordered a couple espresso martinis and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful sharing his recommendations about what drinks we might want to try based on our likes. When he found out it was my birthday he brought a small tray with just the perfect amount of a treat for after dinner. I would give 5 stars for atmosphere except the rose smell that is in the lobby and in the lounge area can be a bit overwhelming at times. (Edit) I dont know if the rose smell is in the dining area.) It definitely is a place that I will come back for the food and the service.

2 /5 Marisol Flores: Came here to celebrate our friends wedding on the day they were married, which we noted on the reservation. Despite this, we were seated in the lounge rather than the main dining room. Eating a full dinner at low lounge tables was uncomfortable and awkward, and we were never offered the option to sit in the restaurant side. Typically, when you choose a fine dining restaurant for a special occasion, there is at least some acknowledgment of the celebration. Unfortunately, neither the host nor our server acknowledged our friends wedding. When we finally mentioned it, the response was a quick "congratulations," and nothing more. Even a small gesture or verbal acknowledgment from the staff would have made the experience feel more thoughtful. Overall, I had higher expectations for this restaurant. The lack of care and attention was disappointing, and for a $270 tab, we could have had a much better experience elsewhere.
