5 /5 eric williams: What a night! On vacation in Eureka, we asked a local at the dog park for a dining recommendation. Our server was Jake, and he performed quite well. Old Town Eureka was prepped for the Christmas walk, parking was free, and it was unseasonably warm. Polenta crostini. Arancini stuffed with butternut squash risotto. Brussels sprouts. Wood-fired hen with fingerling potatoes. Grilled steelhead with lobster risotto. Chocolate torte with s’mores topping. My lady enjoyed the prosecco, and I the Lagunitas IPN/A.

Although the restaurant wasn’t busy, the service from our waitress fell short, both for us and a neighboring table. We left with appreciation for the chefs skill, yet disappointed that the service didn’t reflect the quality and price of the menu. At this level, one would expect the dining experience to be exceptional in every aspect, including service

5 /5 KD: My husband and I have come here a couple times because we love the food and have had great service every time. The menu does change some items seasonally which is great because you can try something new every time and we havent been disappointed. The music can be louder at some tables so you can always ask to switch tables. My photos may show old menus but just wanted to give you an idea of the variety of food they offer. I always get the mussels and clams when available and my husband always gets the polenta to start. Yes expensive, but when the food makes you do a little happy dance in your chair its worth it.

5 /5 Talvi Fried: Really lovely environment. Service was excellent. Sat at the bar and felt well cared for. Best food in Humboldt. I may frame the photo of the French omelet as that may be the most delectable morsel I have ever ever eaten.
