5 /5 Ashley: I can’t say enough good things about Hard Times BBQ! The food is outstanding, every single item we tried was perfection. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with incredible smoke flavor, the burnt ends were rich and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the tri tip was cooked to absolute perfection. The mac n cheese was creamy and flavorful, the beans had that perfect blend of sweet and savory, and the cornbread was moist and buttery, everything you want BBQ sides to be.
The building you can tell they’ve put tremendous work into making it a welcoming, comfortable space. They even still have the Alibi bar, we love to see the build still have a piece of what it used to be. It’s clear that pride of ownership shows.
The husband and wife team who own this place are absolute treasures. They’re warm, welcoming, and genuinely care about making sure every customer leaves happy. You can feel their passion for what they do, and it shows in everything from the quality of the food to how they interact with guests. The male owner personally is cutting up your meat, and greeting you with a warm smile. He wants to hear your feedback, and is trying his best to keep up with demand.
What really touched my heart is learning that they employ women from Lydia’s Sober House. The wife/owned made it clear to me that giving back to the community and providing meaningful opportunities is important to her. That kind of commitment to making a difference speaks volumes about their character. She made sure we were satisfied and even spoke about her husband often sleeps beside the inside smoker to keep up with meat demands.
These are local owners who are working incredibly hard to keep up with well-deserved traffic. Support this business, you won’t regret it!
Hard Times BBQ has earned every bit of success they’re experiencing.
