Imperial Hotel & Restaurant - (Near Amador City, CA)

5 /5 Trudy Egan: We stayed at the dog friendly cottages owned by the Imperial Hotel. They deserve 6 stars out of 5 for hospitality. The manager, Alyssa, was great about returning phone calls and sent emails when we had trouble connecting before our arrival. There was no one in the biggest cottage so she upgraded us without cost. The location is near Knight foundry, which is why we wanted to visit the area. We visited the main hotel for a peek around. The restaurant and bar were closed for a January break. The building itself was a historic brick building with 2 floors. The accommodation was fabulous. Comfy king bed, good in room coffee with actual cream in the little cups, a huge jacuzzi tub for 2 (See 70 lb dog for scale) and a little gas fireplace for a heater. There was a living room area with a couch and coffee table, and house plants in every room. The entryway offered a stand with umbrellas to borrow in case of rain. There is a grassy yard with a low fence so your pup can romp as long as it isnt a jumper, and they provided a dog bed suitable for a small to medium dog. There was a dog bowl, which was great because I forgot to bring one, and a jar with a dog cookie in it. Alyssa left a welcome note for us in the room, and a few nice perks as well. In short, thoughtful details everywhere.

5 /5 David Pilch: First of all, Alyssa and Raven the bartenders make amazing craft cocktails! Came from Sacramento and they made the best Paloma! Super fun people and make the experience enjoyable. Love the small town feel and cozy atmosphere. Nice to be to a great place and relax and just breath

5 /5 mary eby: We absolutely lived our stay at The Imperial. We were taken on a tour to choose from the available rooms. When our room’s AC unit became noisy, the staff quickly relocated us to another room , a more expensive room, at the less expensive rate. The rooms are so well appointed, quite lovely. Our dinner was exceptional, also our service. Later that night, and also the next morning, we enjoyed sitting in the balcony, (while sipping in tea / coffee and reading Nancy Drew).

5 /5 Georgia Andersen: We stayed at The Imperial Hotel for our one-year anniversary, and it was the perfect spot. We were in the Golden Room and absolutely adored it — the quality of the sheets, the cleanliness, and even the shower shampoo and other offerings were all top-notch. The bar and restaurant downstairs were outstanding — seriously delicious food and great vibes. We will definitely be back! The only small feedback we have is that at times, we weren’t sure where to check in or who to ask if we needed something. A little more clear info at check-in would’ve been helpful. But overall, we had such a lovely stay and highly recommend it.

5 /5 Greg Stepanicich: We had an outstanding stay at the Imperial Hotel. The hotel has been beautifully and tastefully rennovated. We stayed in the Theodore Cottage which was well appointed, large and very comfortable. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was top notch, San Francisco quality dining. Excellent cocktails and local wine list. The breakfast was excellent with very flaky croissants that as good as being in France. Very friendly staff. We highly recommend the Imperial Hotel to visitors to Amador County.
