3 /5 Emerald Dodge: Disappointed Experience
Out of all the crab boil spots Ive tried in San Diego, this was unfortunately my least favorite. I ordered a special combo with their "Juicy" house sauce (medium spice), but the sauce was overly oily and lacked flavor. The sausage tasted more like a boiled hot dog, and overall the seafood, potatoes, and corn were all bland. It seemed like everything was boiled in plain water rather than seasoned broth.
Service was just okay. We were a party of six and ordered three combos ($100+ each), but only received three crab cracker tools. When we asked for more, they only brought one extra. We also had to request seafood splitter/ scissors separately, and they gave us just one pair for the whole table who was all eating crab. Staff wasnt too friendly and only checked on us once after bringing food.
