SAranella - Paso Robles

Rating: 4.8 /5
Douglas Martin Came here on the recommendation of our host at a wine tasting at Bodega de Edgar. They had only been open 8 days, but the food was pitch perfect. Everything was delicious, and deeply flavored. The cocktails are expertly made, wine list is well curated. This restaurant specializes in Spanish style tapas and paellas. We ordered several small plates to share (papas bravas, endive salad, fried artichoke hearts, Marcona almonds with rosemary, Serrano ham croquettes). For our main dish, we ordered the paella mixto, which had what looked like shishito peppers on top. They used authentic bomba rice, simmered in a deep, spicy red broth. Mixed in was rabbit meatball and jidori chicken. Service was great, but at 8 days, they were still getting their sea legs. The atmosphere was very nice, but the sound was a bit of a din, and reflective. What an amazing dinner though, and I will make this a stop every time I’m in Paso.

Kito’s Taco Shop - Corte Madera

Rating: 4.7 /5
Patrick Law A quintessential taco shop. Its just pure. Everything is working together in harmony and worth pairing multiple items. Chicken verde soup is a standout, but everything was exceptional.

Esperanza on the Rooftop - Paso Robles

Rating: 3.4 /5
Katie Marlow Esperanza at the AVA Hotel just opened in Paso Robles and it’s fantastic. The atmosphere is beautiful and feels like a little tropical escape. The cocktails are excellent and we loved snacking on the carnitas fries and chips with guac. They have plenty of light bites and some main dishes if you’re hungry. The downtown location is perfect, and it’s a great spot to relax and enjoy a night out.

The Branch - Twain Harte

Rating: 4.8 /5
mvr info The food here, every-single-course was amazing. Its my new favorite restaurant. The place itself is small and a bit quirky so if youre looking for high-end elegance this isnt the place. I personally loved the ambiance. Feels more authentic and part of the experience dining in an old renovated (what I guess was) a residential cottage. The main room Im guessing was the living room/kitchen which is split in half to be a kitchen you can see them working in and maybe 5 tables. The second smaller room was either a bedroom or old front porch that was framed in. Its very small so you probably want reservations as I assume the limited seating fills up fast. Would highly recommend. The food was fantastic, the chef was friendly and its obvious he takes pride in what he does.

GalpĂŁo Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse - Irvine

Rating: 4.8 /5
Yalcin Aslan Absolutely fantastic service! We arrived around 5:30, and despite how busy it was, the staff handled everything seamlessly. The gauchos were incredibly well-trained, always attentive, and quick to serve freshly cooked meats. I also really appreciated the thoughtful detail of having a No Pork sign for the table—such a considerate touch! The meat quality was excellent overall. The only one I didn’t enjoy as much was the gold-covered meat. It lacked flavor, possibly because the salt base made it too dry or drained the juices during cooking—but that’s just a minor issue. All in all, the service was phenomenal. You’ve got a regular customer now—keep up the great work!

California Burrito - Angels Camp

Rating: 4.1 /5
Hungry Horse Good food, fast service. We loved the Super Carnitas burrito and Beef Rolled Tacos with sour cream and guac. The salsas were classic and flavorful. Horchata and Jamaica didn’t taste watered down at all. Just like a Southern California taco shop. We also thought the staff was attentive and friendly. Good came out really fast and the whole place was clean. Oh yeah and homemade tortillas on the weekends. 10/10!
