Hannah Lin Amazing store for Russian Food. We ordered the borscht, pelmeni, olivye, and medovik. It did take a bit for our main dishes to come out but its a family run restaurant so i was a-ok waiting. We had a tub of olivye and slice of medovik to snack on anyways so all good.
The olivye was quite salty but i do tend to like my food quite salty so it was very tasty to me. The medovik or honey cake was the highlight of the meal, not too sweet, super soft and filled with pieces of what seem to be walnuts and sour cream frosting that had a great tang (what i think is often missing from american cream cheese frosting)
the borscht was earthy and comforting and also vegetarian just fyi. the pelmeni tasted nicely rich from the meat and even better when dunked into the sour cream
