Lius Village - (Near Madera, CA)

Gigi Loved finding this hidden gem in the middle of the mountains last summer. It immediately became my favorite new restaurant when visiting Lake Almanor. We returned several times throughout the fall and couldnt wait to get back to the lake this summer to enjoy more culinary experiences at The Sandpiper. Its so clear that chef Jack takes great pride and care in determining what to include in each dish and how they are prepared. Jack has designed a menu full of creative pairings using fresh ingredients, flavorable balance of spices, and elevated finishing touches and presentations. Every meal continues to exceed my expectations. If there is a special of the day, it is an absolute MUST have and ALWAYS delicious. The family owned restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with attentive, friendly service. Ive noticed lots of repeat customers walk through the doors each night. I will absolutely be back again and again. I highly recommend this restaurant, you wont be disappointed. P.S. Please dont tell my grandma that Jacks homemade apple pie is my all time favorite!

Veleda Spellman Absolutely amazing experience! The owner Mario is very nice and the food is so delicious. When visiting Hollywood I would highly recommend coming here. The Margarita’s are top tier. Very affordable

Julianne Kapner We ordered the falafel as takeout, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The falafel itself was moist and flavorful, not too dry or salty, the pita was fresh and soft, and the other toppings (lettuce, tomato) were fresh and plentiful. It came with seasoned fries and ketchup, garlic sauce, and chili sauce. For only $15 this was a good deal. The garlic sauce warrants its own shout-out: it was absolutely fantastic. The place is very small for dine-in but very atmospheric and cute. Service was fast and professional. Highly recommend - some of the best falafel I think Ive ever had.

Sana Sultani Levant Mediterranean Restaurant hands down one of the best spots I’ve ever been to in LA. The food was unreal, the service was beyond amazing, and I’m not exaggerating when I say this place left me speechless. They literally offered food for free just to make sure we had the best experience. That kind of hospitality is rare. I’ve been to Turkey multiple times, and this place gave me that same authentic, fresh, flavorful vibe maybe even better. You can taste the love in every single dish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted so kindly, seated quickly, and taken care of the entire time. The meats were juicy and perfectly seasoned, the rice was soft and full of flavor, and the sides? Absolutely insane. The hummus was probably the smoothest I’ve ever had. Every plate came out looking like a piece of art — but it wasn’t just for show. It tasted even better than it looked. And let’s talk customer service they genuinely care. Not just fake smiles and basic stuff. They made sure we were full, happy, and even brought us extra dishes just to try. Who does that? That’s love. That’s passion. That’s the kind of energy that makes a place unforgettable. The vibe inside is cozy but still elevated. Clean, calm, and really aesthetic without trying too hard. Whether you’re pulling up with family or on a cute dinner date, this spot hits every time. More people need to know about Levant. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. If you’re in LA and haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out big time. Go. Like now. We literally ate everything and made sure to bring home any food

Brandon Cadelinia This review is based on a 49ers watch party. First off… amazing service by Tony (serving the open tables in the bar area) considering there was loud and fanatic 49er fans, he was upbeat, friendly and very professional. Always checked on tables to make sure we had our drinks and food. Our orders were accurately placed and the food and drinks came out fast. Food also served hot. Very impressed with the venue, service, staff considering how busy it was. Very spacious with lots of seats and tables including outdoor seating. Drinks are priced fairly. Ordered the game day specials. I thought the fish and chips can be slightly bigger in size but the dipping sauce it came with was delicious. Sorry no pictures. Calamari was good too! Will definitely come here again and bring more friends. Thank you Laughing Monk Sunnyvale for an awesome time!

Hamza Pasha Hookah is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the night. The lounge has a cozy atmosphere with great music that really sets the vibe. The staff is friendly and always checking in to make sure the hookah is smooth and the coals are changed on time. They have a great variety of flavors, and everything tastes fresh. It’s an awesome spot to chill with friends, enjoy good music, and unwind.
