5 /5 Michelle Hong: Awesome food. Efficient and fast. I ordered two apps: fried tofu and the takoyaki balls and both were perfect. My table ordered: spicy seafood udon, champon and nabeyaki. The spicy one was savory and it’s actually pretty spicy! The champon was basically the non spicy version without mussels. The nebeyaki was a, fried fish cake soup taste that didn’t need to be adjusted. The noodles were a perfectly chewy and the broth was perfect temperature to eat in less than five minutes upon approval. Highly recommend!! And will come back here again.

4 /5 Jack: Great Udon noodles just the portions might be small for some people. Ordered the Bukkake Udon and the Mentai Cream Udon, both were delicious.

We came during rush hour, so we had to sit outside, and the restroom was always full, so we couldn’t use it. The prices are a bit high for the quality expected, and the staff could be a little more attentive. Still, it’s an option to consider if you’re near Little Tokyo.

3 /5 Juliann Tran: This udon spot is usually super packed, so I got lucky and didn’t have to wait when I came. You can definitely taste that the udon is fresh and freshly made, which I appreciated. That said, I didn’t really love the one I ordered, and my cousin thought his was just okay too. Nothing bad — just nothing spectacular. Still, it’s a solid, hearty meal, especially if there’s no line. I’d get it again if the timing worked out.

Though the restaurant is small and often bustling, the wait is absolutely worth it. Every bowl here reflects care, precision, and genuine artistry—making Marugame Monzo one of the finest udon destinations I’ve had the pleasure of visiting.
