1 /5 Diane Bettencourt: I planned a family dinner at Memo’s to celebrate my daughter’s engagement. Our party consisted of eight people, including two children. I called on Friday to make a reservation for the following evening and was told that reservations are only accepted for parties of ten or more.
Although I would have made other arrangements at that point, I was then told that if I called about 30 minutes before arriving, they could put us on a waitlist and have a table ready. I was grateful for that option and followed those instructions.
However, when I called 30 minutes before our arrival, the person who answered said they did not offer that option and implied that I had been misinformed. We were told they were fully booked and could not accommodate us. At that point, it was too late to find availability at other restaurants.
This was meant to be a special dinner to celebrate my daughter’s engagement, and unfortunately, it was disrupted due to conflicting information and lack of accommodation. I was very disappointed with the experience.
