2 /5 Alice Hou: We were staying at the Meritage, and this is the only restaurant on the property. Since we had a reservation, we were seated quickly. We ordered the House Made Focaccia, Calabria pizza, Rigatoni, and the Bucatini.
The House-Made Focaccia was very oily, and honestly, not very memorable.
The Calabria Pizza came with calabrese sausage, mozzarella, calabrian chili honey, and parmesan. It had a sweet and savory flavor, but the crust was soft and floppy.
The Rigatoni was made of braised lamb ragu, creamy tomato sauce, radicchio, and fiore sardo. While the lamb was tender, the portion was small, probably just 4 pieces in it.
The Bucatini was made of black pepper, pecorino romano, and parmesan mousse, which was skippable. The flavor was overwhelmingly just black pepper flavor after all.
We had the tiramisu served in a moka pot alongside a scoop of vanilla gelato. The gelato was great, but the tiramisu was overly soggy and fell short of expectations.
Service was lacking, our waiter didnt check on us until we were finished with our meal.
