Gola Restaurant SF - San Francisco

Rating: 4.7 /5
Sarah Vlazny Everything was excellent!! We tried the deviled eggs, brik, and lamb stew and all were incredible. Lamb stew had lots of beautifully tender lamb. Even the bread was really something special. Service was impeccable, ambiance delightful and cozy. Will be back and definitely recommend Also - loved that they asked if we were ready for the next course once we had finished our appetizers. Sometimes I do want a break in between, and lots of restaurants in this area will bring out the entrees while you’re still eating appetizers which is a huge pet peeve of mine. Not at Gola - service was delightful

La Esperanza | Mexican Food - Sutter Creek

Rating: 4.5 /5
Jacobina de Rivera We were driving to Burning Man and found this foodtruck on our route. As a Mexican cook, I found this food amazing! The owners are great people and the menu has a lot of the dishes I can find back home!

Lewiston Hotel Bar & Grill - Lewiston

Rating: 4.8 /5
Holly Higgins I dont know where to begin. We just had our wedding at the Lewiston Hotel and could not be more grateful for them. Katie and Kyle are running a small business in a very small town and are doing such an incredible job. The food is always good anytime you go and is just as good for large events. We were supposed to have our rehearsal dinner at the hotel the night before our wedding and moments before it was supposed to begin a fire started across the street. There were so many unknowns but once things settled down they did everything to accommodate us and our large group. I will never stop being grateful!!!!

Geartooth Alewerks - Placerville

Rating: 4.9 /5
Tony Scott Stopped in on the way to Tahoe looking for a brew after working up in Rescue. This spot of brews and bbq is amazing. Family owned and family working. The brews all in house are very good. They make their own dipping sauces and Kit knows all the spices and food. The food tho is excellent. In house smoke. Their trisKIT and jalapeno poopers are some of the best I have had in a while. Pork belly rub is on point. They are having their one year mark and have different awards to prove it. Recommended for sure.

KAIDO Japanese Restaurant - Grass Valley

Rating: 4.4 /5
Brian Gernhardt My wife and I have lived in GV for a year and a half now. We moved from the bay area where there are as many sushi restaurants as there are liquor stores, theyre everywhere. Here in GV they are few and far between. Wed been wanting to try Kaido for a while but had not gotten around to it and were somewhat skeptical of a Foothill sushi joint. Until today. We have eaten at roughly 20-30 different sushi restaurants as adults and I say Kaido is probably top 3. Nigiri, sashimi, and their curated rolls are all 10/10. If you get the opportunity to eat here, I 100% recommend it. You will not be disappointed with the flavor and quality of the food. The wait staff is amazing too. Very customer friendly and knowledgeable. We found our new go to place for sushi.

Focaccia - Fresno

Rating: 4.9 /5
Randall Gillispie We stopped by Focaccia and were blown away by the tri-tip sandwich—absolutely delicious! The flavors were bold and balanced, and the plating was immaculately done, and the fresh fruit was an added treat elevating the whole experience. The owners were incredibly kind and clearly cared deeply about the quality of the food. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made the visit feel personal and memorable. Only hiccup: my girlfriend received the wrong salad. Thankfully, it was still tasty, and she didn’t mind the mix-up. The music was a touch loud for our taste, but not enough to distract from the great food and ambiance. Overall, a heartfelt meal with just a couple of minor bumps. A must-stop if you love delicious food and warm service. We’ll definitely be back!
