Pera Mezze House - (Near Roseville, CA)

Jonathan Lee Oh G Burger is a cozy place tucked on A Street in Hayward. With a wide seating area and bright, red, white and blue walls, it brings a more retro atmosphere, helped by the selection of 80s, 90s and 00s music. Aesthetically, its somewhere between an old-school diner and a cafeteria, and I greatly appreciate that. During my visit, the owner made sure to meet my needs in a timely and respectful manner. Ice for my drink was available on request, as well as water (and water cups). I noted that the owner was also very close with his regulars, but also willing to give a customer space if he felt that they wanted to be alone. It seems that management is in good hands. On this first visit, I ordered the Hayward Burger combo. To be honest, I didnt take a closer look at the menu and just picked on the spot - almost none of the ingredients in the burger itself were anything I would have normally had. Based on its individual ingredients, I should have hated what I ordered... but I didnt! The combination of flavors made what would have been an unpleasant experience in lesser hands, a pleasantly surprising one. Even if I dont know whether or not I will order another Hayward Burger, its certainly changed my opinion on bell peppers for the future. For that, I have to give a 5 star rating for the food - at any other place, I think I would have hated it. Ill definitely be coming back in the future!

Bruce S. I dont leave a lot of 5 star reviews, but Ethels Fancy deserves it imo! We went to celebrate our anniversary. Though the reservations were all taken, we were able to sit at the bar, which was fine with us. I have to say that all the staff were friendly and attentive. Diane, the bartender, was really nice, and she made cocktails at an amazing speed, and she was smiling the whole time. We drank Lambrusco di Sorbara with our meal that was really good! Wow, our dinner was absolutely amazing! The way the food is plated is beautiful!Everything that we ate was unique, cooked & flavored perfectly, and delicious! We had the Warm Sesame Pancakes, Coconut Fritters, Crispy Pork Belly, "Salt & Pepper" Spanish Octopus, and Grilled Local Black Cod, "Teriyaki ". We like that everything is shareable. For dessert, we were given a delicate corn pudding for our anniversary that was so good! Mickey, the GM, came over and greeted us, and he was so friendly. We were also lucky enough to meet Chef Scott, and briefly chat, hes extremely nice. Since Chef Scott is from Maui, we could see that his staff is treated like Ohana. We will definitely be back soon!

Francine C. I used to live here but travel out here quite a few times a year and it’s always fun trying new things I see pop open. This place is amazing! The people are real kind and attentive (not in an annoying way). The wine and pizza I had were amazing. My husband also had the charcuterie and a beer and both were phenomenal. The atmosphere was very peaceful and the music playlist made sense for it (a mix of old and new). I sat by the window and the waitress was very nice and scooted another small table for us. The restrooms were clean. All in all I’d wait an hour for my food and be ok because I just liked being there and eating their amazing food. Best pizza I’ve ever had hands down.

Jenny Ramaswamy We had a delicious lunch at Charminar. My favorite dish - Palak Paneer- was prepared perfectly. The greens were smooth and creamy without being heavy. The panner chunks were large and delicious. My daughter enjoyed her Chicken Tikka Masala. The portions were very generous. Our server, Presley, was attentive and friendly.
