Brochette Dumpling and Grill - Redwood City

Rating: 4.5 /5
Virginia Huffman We had a good experience at Brochette Dumpling and Grill on Main Ave in Redwood City. The ambiance is lively and fresh — with upbeat music, beautiful wall decor, comfortable chairs, and nicely set tables. When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly quiet, but a few more people came in as we ate. Service was friendly and quick. We tried a variety of dishes — the dumplings were solid, and the skewers were tasty. We especially liked the shrimp sui mai, chickem meatball and the chicken thigh skewer with wasabi. Just a heads-up: the chicken wasabi does pack a punch! The pork soup dumplings were delicious, and the shrimp and pork siu mai were also a highlight. Would definitely come back to try more!

Native Son - Merced

Andrea Diaz Native Son is my favorite spot in downtown Merced, it is a cozy modern atmosphere & i was welcomed right away by Adriana. She made the experience here so welcoming & fun that ive been back 3 days in a row lol the wine was great, breakfast burrito was delicousss ive never had a breakfast burrito with sweet potatoes. The strawberry mango lemonade was refreshing & totally post worthy! the star of the show for me was the banana matcha, id been trying to find one in Merced & i will be back over & over again. 10/10 everything, thank you Adriana you’re fantastic & all the guest love you!

La Cigale - San Francisco

Rating: 4.5 /5
Kate Russell What a unique experience. We were lucky to sit closer to the fire and you can literally feel the heat and have a great view watching Joseph perform his craft. Hes clearly passionate about food and tells you a lot about where his food is sourced from. He also said the menu will be changing regularly as seasons change. Overall the food was phenomenal. Fantastic for a date night. Highly recommend.

The Carrisa - San Luis Obispo

Rating: 3.7 /5
Christopher Limon Christmas at the Carissa offers a truly enchanting holiday experience, brilliantly blending festive cheer with culinary innovation. As someone who has visited this gem twice this season, I am deeply impressed by its vibrant atmosphere and the unique twist it brings to food and drinks, perfectly embodying the spirit of the holidays. The menu, curated with a festive theme in mind, is both intriguing and diverse. The dishes, though fittingly seasonal, might not cater to all palates, as I found some to be not entirely to my liking. However, the quality and creativity behind each item are undeniable, making it a culinary adventure worth embarking on. What truly sets Christmas at the Carissa apart are its drinks. Expertly crafted, these beverages capture the essence of the holidays. Their ability to adjust the sweetness levels without compromising the flavors shows a commendable level of skill and attention to detail. This thoughtful customization enhances the overall dining experience, making the drinks a must-try. The ambiance of the Carissa, bustling and lively, adds to the allure. Its a testament to its popularity and the joy it brings to the community during the festive season. The chef and staff deserve praise for their excellent work and the festive spirit they infuse into each aspect of the dining experience. Christmas at the Carissa is a five-star over all experience in big groups especially for those seeking to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit through innovative cuisine. While some dishes may not be to everyones taste, the adventure of trying new, seasonally inspired foods is worthwhile. I eagerly recommend any pop-up event hosted by the Carissa, as they consistently deliver a blend of culinary excellence and festive charm.
