Czarina Ann Sanchez Chonmage was a very nice surprise. My sister took me to this little gem in San Rafael because I was craving for Japanese cuisine that time. We went there to get a light lunch while touring San Francisco. We ordered some seasoned edamame for appetizers and it was 5/5, just lightly seasoned with a good crisp. We also ordered vegetable tempura which had a good serving size. They paired it with a good tempura sauce. We also shared Donburi with rice and that dish was really yummy. It was a great pairing with the tempura because that one had a good marinade which had a good umami flavor. The dish was very filling and was very tasty. Ambience - it was simple and clean and they have a clean restroom as well. Not too much background noise and totally good for catching up with friends and family. Service - all their wait staff was very friendly and accommodating to our questions. And we had a lot of questions. And the service was quite quick. The restaurant was maybe moderately busy when we came to visit. Overall, I really love the restaurant. I live in SoCal and I really wish we have something like this back home.I highly recommend it !

Susan Witmer We looked up restaurants and chose Altamiranos at random. We were pleasantly surprised that the food, service and atmosphere at Altamiranos were superb! The prices were also reasonable. Definitely worthy of five star reviews!

Zak Shaibi First time in here. I love it. It is amazing place. Clean, good for traditional families. Special and private place for family or couples. You must visit this place and you wont regret it. Their food is so delicious. I will come to this place every time I come to the bay area. Take your family and visit them. They have a private door for families to enter and they are served with females. No male will ever go to the family section. Check my photos and have an idea about Yemen Cafe. Thomas H. This is an excellent Kebab spot with traditional offerings as well as newer fusion with Mediterranean and some Mexican influences. I highly suggest trying the koobideh patties. I really love them they were juicy and had a sumac crust. The sauces they have are very delightful. The traditional yogurt sauces were great but the sauce I fell in love with was that chipotle sumac sauce. The price is great here especially compared to other restaurants with the same offerings. This is truly a gem in Chula Vista. I see myself coming back quite a bit. I will be doing the video review soon.

JEFFERY COMER On our way up to Mammoth, we saw this barbecue place. As we were going home decided to stop on the way back down. Being from the south I haven’t seen real barbecue in a while, but this place was the real deal. Food was fantastic. The smell of smoking in the air was amazing and the staff couldn’t be nicer.
