Shahbaz Salehi Great restaurant on top of Bank of America Building in downtown LA. It is very fancy and chic. You need to book ahead of time. They are very communicative leading up to the day and time of reservation to make sure you are ready for the reservation. I thought that was a great touch on their part. They do not guarantee window tables at all. However when we went they give us a window table. The menu is a 3 course menu. You pick one item for each course. The service is fast and actually the portions are reasonable. We felt full after the 3 courses. The staff is super friendly and nice. It’s a perfect location for a special occasion or date night. They have valet parking or you can find parking in any of the public Parkings in downtown LA. Highly recommend them.

Ian Fels I rarely, if ever, leave reviews. I normally look down upon the people who take time to leave reviews (normally because it’s people upset about reservation mix-ups). But I felt compelled to say- this restaurant, the food, the service, and the ambiance, are exceptional. Yes, it’s expensive. Trust me when I say this- get the ragu and the corn ravioli thing- and get a steak, any steak- and get a dessert, any dessert- it’s all worth every penny. The staff is phenomenal, they were extremely accommodating, and the ambiance is cute, lively, warm, how else can I describe something that feels welcoming? 5 stars. I’m not kidding I’m writing this review at the dinner table. Make this your special occasion; or, do what I am going to do and make this your go-to semi weekly splurge spot. It’s that good.

The Kitchen Restaurant - Sacramento

June Wong Be prepared for an event as this isn’t just an ordinary restaurant. It’s more like a house party. The chefs invite you to walk around the entire kitchen and watch what they’re doing, ask questions and even take a taste. One thing to know is that it’s pretty loud in there, so if you have hearing issues like I do, you might be less comfortable. The bar type tables are pretty tall for short people. But the food was stupendous. There are a lot of creative combinations of foods and the presentation is stunning. There is a lot of staff at the restaurant, and they’re always cleaning your place setting. The atmosphere is wonderful, like being in someone’s fancy house. We had so much to try, and it was pretty much all good.

Karen Cooke A must try if you’re in SF. Perfect for a romantic date night or to catch up with friends. For starters we ordered the octopus appetizer and dip trio. For mains we got the whole fish and rack of lamb. Dessert we had the baklava and Greek coffee. Everything was amazing and can’t wait for my next time back.

Marisa Chiang This is the restaurant that truly opened our eyes to GREAT food. We had the BBQ carrot years ago (pre-COVID) and the intensity of flavor from such a simple preparation (albeit long dehydration time) was just kind-blowing. And we’ve been coming back every year since! Chef Chris is a genius. There really are not adequate words to describe the flavor of the dishes that are derived from the techniques of prepping it from the time the ingredient arrives at the restaurant to when it finally reaches your plate (which can be months). It’s familiar flavors that just exploded in intensity, always with the perfect layers of complementary flavors and textures. It really is just something your mouth will have to experience for itself (my mouth is watering typing this). The service is impeccable. Their director Zoee is such a sweetheart and always greets us with a genuinely welcoming presence. Their entire team is always friendly and smiles, it’s easy and a pleasure to converse with anyone and everyone that works there. Just be prepared for a long meal (3-4 hours). Everything is cooked to order and they are very meticulous, so it does take time but the immaculate presentation and “perfect” bite is worth the wait. The area can be a bit rough and parking is not easy, so the recommendation is to take a car so you’re dropped off right at the entrance. Otherwise we haven’t had issues getting there. In short, if you love to see how food can be transformed to new heights, this is your restaurant.
