Bar Sinizki - Los Angeles

Rating: 4.6 /5
Emma Matsuda Heard about this place from a friend so decided to check it out. First of all, the bread pudding was immaculate. Definitely gained at least a pound, but it was 100% worth it. The potato and cheese pierogi were to die for - not too heavy or starchy, doused in a beautiful brown butter sauce with sage. The trout rillette tartine did not blow me away, but the incredible cocktails made up for it. Overall I will be returning as soon as humanly possible!

Pepes Cafe - Grass Valley

Eric Breakfast burrito - bacon, onion, jalapeno, potato, monterey jack. Perfection. The salsa was pretty mild so it wont overwhelm more sensitive palates. It went well with the burrito above. The onion rings are LEGIT. I would pop in just for an order of those, and I probably will in the future.

Hari HLZ The food was amazing , the staff were very sweet and went above and beyond for service. We ordered 2 naans at the start and ended up getting 6 servings because it was that great! If I lived closer I would frequent this place for sure!

Richmond Eats - Richmond

Rating: 4.2 /5
Richard Katz This was the best restaurant meal I have ever had. No kidding. Im seventy seven years old and Ive eaten a lot of restaurant meals all over the world. Today I went riding around town at lunchtime thinking I would really like to sink my teeth into a couple of good tamales. I drove past Masa right here in my home neighborhood of POint Richmond; Masa makes a righteous tamale, no doubt about that. But I wanted to explore; I wanted to go find something new and special. I motorcycled over to 23rd street, went past restaurants and taco trucks, all of them known to be good. I went up and down 22nd and 23rd street, thinking that what I really wanted was tamales from a mercado like I used to get in the Mission at the front of the food stores, inexpensive and delicious and really fresh. Then I decided to head down MacDonald for no good reason and BOOM! right there where there used to be a place called the Garage, theres a new restaurant Richmond Eats. They had a sandwich board out front that said "3 Tamales $10" but only on Saturday and Sunday, and this was Tuesday. I parked the bike and went inside and sure enough they would cook me up some pork tamales, three for ten bucks. Im not going to try and tell you how good they are. You gotta go buy them for yourself and your kids and eat them blazing hot fresh from the kitchen. Dont take my word for it, just go. On my way out the woman at the counter told me "Those are Salvadorean tamales." Nothing wrong with Mexican tamales, no sir, nothing at all, no no no. But you gotta check out Richmond Eats. Salvadorean and Mexican. And man, this restaurant is so clean it SPARKLES.

Fox Tale Fermentation Project - San Jose

Rating: 4.9 /5
Michela Dellolio We very much enjoyed the incredible vegan menu, the fermented foods and beers, such a welcoming and cool find in downtown San Jose! The soup of the week was full of flavors and hearty and came with Firebrand sourdough bread. Will definitely come back with friends in the evening!
