Sol Food - (Near San Rafael, CA)

Gustavo Cortez We were visiting from LA area and we found this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. Its a popular locals hang out. It was very busy. They had LARGE parties of people getting together. Whait was very reasonable for being so busy. The food (breakfast) was very tasty. It was hot and fairly fast. Coffee was good and strong. Our waitress "Heather" did a great job. Took all our orders and got them all correct. Nothing missing and kept up with the drinks.

Andrew Kim IVs weakest link, despite its amazing weather and people, is its limited food palette and diversity. So, students end up being forced to choose between 3+ different pizza places or hispanic food, which isnt an issue until youre two weeks in and tired of eating the same food. Teddy Rice manages to bring exclusion with the idea that different foods can succeed in IV! Although I didnt personally enjoy the hot foods due to its blandness, the dessert bingsoo(shaved ice w. condensed) milk has been my top 2(and it isnt 2nd) options for something to have after a meal or to celebrate with! The workers, especially Teddy is super friendly and brings with himself a special environment to the restaurant. I love celebrating small and big accomplishments with my close friends, so whenever they tried their hardest for a volleybay intramural or finished studying for actuarial exam, I believe this is the best place to take them to celebrate. Please give them a try and especially try the mango option(the +$1.25 is worth it, trust)!

thegardengazer The Lobster taco was juicy and delicious, accompanied by a tasty salsa on the side. The calamari was also crunchy and delicious. However, I was not impressed with the fish and fries. There were more fries than fish. Despite this, the friendly staff and exceptional service made the experience enjoyable. The restaurant’s unique and impressive vibe is truly one-of-a-kind. I wish the outdoor chairs and tables were more comfortable.

DarkEmperor We were originally seated at a regular table and I expressed interest in the chefs table. Tanja was our server and she immediately went to see if she could get us seated there. She made it happen and it did not disappoint. She was a pronominal server, on top of it all. Being in the kitchen was a great experience that I’ve wanted to do for years. The chefs were Edgar and Ervin. They did a fantastic job. Wonderful family evening.

Raybies Flynn It was SO good! I paid $12 for a super quesadilla with all pastor meat. It was huge! I took more than half of it home. They also have a nice salsa bar with plenty of choices, alongside house made tortilla chips. The staff was friendly and efficient. The restroom was clean. I will definitely return to try something else!
