4 /5 Marcelle Victoria: I’ve been coming to Tacos Marlyn since I was a child, both here and in Mexicali, and it’s always been one of my favorite spots. The food has never disappointed me: it’s my comfort food, and I always know what Im paying for.
But today I just had an experience that truly ruined my visit. As a female customer, I was shocked when the server who took my order asked me if I was pregnant. That is not only unprofessional, but also a very personal and inappropriate question to ask any customer. In a restaurant, I expect to enjoy my food in peace, not to be put in an uncomfortable situation by an employee’s careless comment.
I still tried to enjoy my two tostadas and fish taco (because I had decided to do so), but honestly, after that, the experience was simply not the same. Employees should be trained to understand boundaries: customers are not family or friends—we come here for good food and respectful service. Please take this feedback seriously, because while the food is delicious, respect matters just as much.
