The Eproson House - (Near Twain Harte, CA)

1 /5 Oscar B: •Drinks - 5 of 5, •Food - 1.5 of 5, •Bread 5 of 5 We were excited to try The Eproson House for the first time, but unfortunately the experience fell short of expectations. We ordered the 10oz Flank steak, and it took quite a long time to come out. When it finally arrived, it was cold. After sending it back, the replacement still came out only lukewarm. The steak itself lacked seasoning or flavor, and the sides that came with it weren’t very enjoyable either. We ended up relying on A1 sauce just to make it decent. On the positive side, the bread with oil and vinegar was outstanding, and the drinks were excellent — definitely the highlight of the evening. Our waitress was kind and tried to make up for the experience by not charging us for the drinks, which we really appreciated. That gesture stood out even though the food itself was disappointing. Unfortunately, overall service seemed overwhelmed for a Thursday night; we even overheard other diners commenting on how long it was taking to get their food. While we appreciated the great drinks and thoughtful service from our waitress, the main dishes left us underwhelmed, and we’re not sure we’d return anytime soon.

3 /5 Dan C.: We were referred to The Eproson house by a long term local. We had high hopes. We were disappointed. We were seated quickly as we got there just after they opened. The waiter was indifferent at best. I had prime rib and my wife ordered a rib eye, we also shared a beet salad. The salad was quite good. The prime rib was good, but the mashed potatoes were lukewarm. The rib eye and the mashed potatoes were lukewarm at best, and the steak was just so-so.

4 /5 Dustin Long: This place is a hidden gem. The food is great, service is good, and the restaurant is a quaint little place with lots of history. The bar is my favorite place to dine, but with kids, outdoors is perfect. There arent many places out there like Twain Harte anymore!

5 /5 Rich Dee: So I’ve been a fairly regular at Eproson house for the past five years. It has always been my Go-To place for a very nice meal, especially the seafood plates and the prime rib. We’ve had a lot of good experiences here over the years, but reading recent reviews concerning the food quality and service, left us a bit hesitant over coming in for a meal. Well, let me tell you, be rest assured, the Eproson house is still up to its A-game. The service and food tonight were outstanding. We could not have asked for better service from Alyssa and crew. The prime rib was Melt-In-Your-Mouth and out of this world. Get in and get yourself a great meal and show them your love. You won’t regret it.

5 /5 Tony: First time going to this restaurant and fell in love with it. The staff was super friendly wish I could remember the bartenders name but she was amazing. She said she was fairly new there but we couldn’t tell. She was so helpful and friendly. We sat out back and she made onus and our Pitbull feel right at home. Great food, great drinks, great service 10/10 recommend.
