Paul Lewis I was referred to la carniceria by my barber across the street. He said you gotta try this place if you want good food. Well today Henry and I gave it a try. Simply put. Awesome. Everything you want and more. You dont want to cook for a party. Come here. The food is as good as it gets.

Sara Carlson If I ever make it back to Nevada City to see a show I will make it a point to return to Java John’s. I know some reviewers seemed to expect a fancier atmosphere, but this place is exactly what it should be. A good restaurant with friendly service on an old historic street. We ordered the club sandwich—one of the best I have had—and pasta salad and chocolate chip cookies. Really good experience. Highly recommend.

Tiziana Alessandro Mitchell This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of enjoying catering from “Sogno Toscano” at my friend Giselle’s birthday party and it was truly outstanding! The selection was varied and thoughtfully prepared: high-quality cured meats, flavorful focaccia sandwiches, and pizza with an authentic Italian taste. Every bite took me back to the genuine flavors of my childhood in Italy. You can really taste the care in the ingredients and the passion for tradition. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for real Italian cuisine, even in a catering setting. By the way, “Sogno Toscano” means “Tuscan Dream” and that name perfectly captures the whole experience. Truly impressive… Buonissimo!!! I’ll definitely calling them for my next party or event.

Ivan Martinez Ive had my fair share of tacos in the past, and these definitely are worth tasting. The friendly staff was kind enough to offer me service five minutes before closing. The two tacos al pastor were carefully packaged and kept warm up to the moment I ate them. It only took about two bites per taco, and the after taste made me crave them even more. Ill definitely come back to try another item in their menu. Well done.
