The Steinbeck House Restaurant & Event Venue - (Near Salinas, CA)

Traci Esch We just celebrated our sons wedding rehearsal here last Friday night. We had a party of 40, so I had contacted Al the owner a few months ago to see if they could accommodate us. They went above and beyond! First, the menu was a breeze to select with Al. He even added Greeting Sparkles (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and suggested cupcakes in the colors of the wedding party. Second, the service was impeccable on the night of the party. Last, but certainly not least, the food was just terrific. We had pork belly lettuce wraps and loaded tots to start and the entree selections ranged from salad to burger to their specialty. I cannot recommend Goose Port, Al or their staff enough. They made our rehearsal dinner easy and memorable!

Gemma Beall Wanted a traditional diner experience as Australians in the US and this place delivered 100% Good quality food that wasnt served in excess, super friendly staff and a fantastic layout of booths and counter seats.

Dolly Barela The food is amazing!! Large portions that not only LOOK delicious, but TASTE delicious. Came delicious because we had our pup with us and they brought her a bowl of water without having to ask. The have a small pet menu with most items being fairly priced at around $6, and you get a decent amount of food for your pet. The patio area was very clean and shaded, so we felt great even on a pretty hot day! Service was very friendly, but a little slow. We werent in a hurry, so it didnt matter much. Will definitely come back and try more items!

Robert Feldman Outstanding salads, tacos, salmon dishes and chicken. Beso was are first time - no disappointments. The food is fresh, well seasoned and hearty. A must try.

Kara N I came here because the reviews were good and I was not disappointed. Sat at the bar by myself and received excellent service from the bartender. Steak was cooked perfectly, not a bunch of added butter and seasoning to the meat or vegetables, which I appreciate. The camp fire beans were delicious! Happy hour wine went great with my meal. I will definitely come back here.
