5 /5 Amit Sedha: Authentic Indian Food Like No Other! Turmeric is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The flavors are rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced, every dish feels like it was made with love and tradition. From the spices to the freshness of the ingredients, you can really taste the difference. The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. I’ve had Indian food in many places, but this truly stands out as some of the most authentic I’ve ever had in my life. If you’re in Merced (or even just passing through), Turmeric is an absolute must try. Highly recommended.

5 /5 Zoe Krulak-Palmer: We went for the Sunday night buffet and it hit every spot. I was ravenous and depleted after three shifts in a row at a local hospital that refuses to settle a fair first contract with louisiana’s historic first nurses union. We arrived on the later side so the tandoori chicken was out but Vijay immediately produced a piping hot platter of delectably tangy tandoori chicken for our table. There were many vegetarian dishes as well as multiple meat based dishes. All the different flavors made endless perfect combinations in my mouth. The cabbage dish was probably my top favorite overall. I ate way too fast and felt almost sick at the end of dinner but had to make room for the carrot treat dessert. Now I want to talk about the atmosphere because it was impeccable. Usually I approach panic levels of anxiety within the first 20 mins of entering a restaurant. Not at Turmeric. We were greeted with delightful smells wafting gently as we walked in. The buffet was calling us. We were allowed to sit anywhere! Vijay was a delightful and gracious server, while not overbearing, making sure we had piping hot fresh naan that felt like a pillow on my tongue. My wife and I were satiated body, mind, and soul. I was plump as a tick. I was prepared to pay any price for this experience. The cherry on top of this night, however, was that the bill was shockingly low. It was $18 per person for unlimited food. In these trying times, it is rare to find a single entree for that price. I challenge you to find a better bang for your buck. The last time I found a deal this good was when I missed a zero while submitting my rent payment and my landlord didn’t notice. I would recommend turmeric to anyone and will be returning any Sunday I’m available.

5 /5 Marisol Martinez: My partner and I decided to try this place last minute coming into town. First timers here. Walking in we were greeted automatically, it was self seating so that was nice too. They gave us these rolled chips with sauce that we have never had before. BOTH REALLY GOOD. The staff was attentive and generous. My partner and I ordered the chicken tikka masala, it came with rice and we ordered garlic naan on the side. Now let me say I KNOW WE FOUND OUR NEW FAVORITE AUTHENTIC INDIAN CUISINE. The food came out hot and it was soooooooooooooooo good. We have never had indian food that was so flavorful. The naan came out with an amazing garlic smell, hot and crispy yet soft. My goodness we ordered 3 sides of it. We also ordered another side of rice because my partner and I were devouring everything that if we didn’t, we probably would have ate the plate itself. Now this will be my one and only time that I say I wish I was like a cow in the sense of having 4 stomachs so I can eat everything. We were so full but could not stop eating. Im eating the left overs as I type this. Lol it was AND IS THAT GOOD. Thank you Turmeric Indian Cuisine and team for your great hospitality, atmosphere, contagious music and AMAZING FOOD. You definitely got yourself a new pair of regulars.

5 /5 Mimi N: We always have a great experience at Turmeric Indian Cuisine! The service is consistently excellent—especially the young lady who greeted us; she was so welcoming and friendly. The butter chicken is absolutely the best, especially paired with their warm, flavorful garlic naan. This was our first time trying the buffet, and I loved getting to sample some new dishes I wouldn’t have ordered otherwise. Everything was fresh and delicious. Don’t skip the desserts either—they’re a perfect way to finish the meal. Overall, everything was great. Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving authentic and tasty Indian food with wonderful service!

5 /5 Diana Munoz: Delicious Food & Wonderful First Experience! This was my first time ever trying Indian food, and I’m so glad we chose Turmeric Indian Cuisine, we definitely picked the right place! The food was absolutely amazing, full of flavor, perfectly spiced, and served in generous portions that were well worth the price. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and authentic. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, happy to answer questions and offer recommendations, which made the experience even better. If you’re new to Indian cuisine or already a fan, I highly recommend giving this place a try. We’ll definitely be coming back!
