5 /5 ana bender: 5 stars all around! the food was DELICIOUS!!! and so reasonably priced for a big portion. Francesca was our server and was so so kind and welcoming. She we above and beyond to give to explain what things were and gave us recommendations. Her energy made the dining experience next level along with the delectable entrees and sides! will definitely be coming back :D

1 /5 Arian Bn: I visited Urban Plates in Davis today with pretty high expectations. The Google reviews are great, the place looks clean, the design is modern, and the staff seemed friendly, so naturally, I thought we were in for a solid meal. Unfortunately, the food was a big letdown. My friend and I ordered two different steak dishes, both of which are supposed to be served warm. They came out in just a few minutes, which made me assume everything had been pre-prepared and sitting around. When we actually tried the food, both plates were extremely cold, not “barely warm,” but genuinely cold. It was honestly surprising for steak dishes. I also ordered a sandwich that came with chips. The chips tasted cheap and didn’t feel like they were freshly made, and the sandwich looked nothing like the pictures. The photos make everything look so good, but the real thing wasn’t decorated, wasn’t appealing, and unfortunately didn’t taste good either, and again, it was cold. My friend’s plate looked closer to the photos, but still had the same issue: cold and not fresh. I really don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, especially for a place I had high hopes for, but this experience was disappointing. No one should be served food that’s supposed to be hot but arrives ice-cold. I truly hope this was a one-time issue and that the restaurant improves quickly, because the atmosphere and presentation of the place deserve better. I’m open to giving them another chance in the future, but based on today, I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

5 /5 Jamie Parker: Oh wow. This restaurant is phenomenal. Truly. My daughter and I ate here for lunch. We were greeted by Nikki, who was open and helpful and friendly, and made thoughtful suggestions. All the staff were delivered the type of top notch customer service that I thought was gone. The food was seriously good-- elevated home style cooking that was cooked like perfectly-- and I am a good cook. And what was really impressive is the decor -- tasteful, comfortable and light. I deeply appreciated that I could hear everything-- this place is not too loud at all. I will be going back as often as I can.

4 /5 Charlie Russell: Nice place. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Reasonable amount of seating. Parking here is terrible but I won’t blame the restaurant for that. We ordered sandwiches. The bread was very nice. I thought the steak with blue cheese sandwich was very tasty but there wasn’t very much meat, just one thin slice. The turkey avocado bacon sandwich was pretty good. The plain fries were exceptional, nice and crispy but not overdone. The Parmesan truffle oil fries were just as crispy but were way too salty. All in all, a nice meal but a bit expensive for what you got

5 /5 Harry Kendall: so many options, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the ambiance is great. and, the food is excellent. this is going to be a favorite first those who love good food and fine music. and a shout out to Chenel.....
