paul tumaliuan This place is, Im gonna say it, the BEST Vietnamese restaurant in Modesto and one of the best restaurants overall. We first came after the Modesto Marathon and we were all pleasantly surprised by the overall taste, portion size, and price. We came here again when we visited Modesto for our parents birthdays. Their pho is, even though we only ordered medium, a large enough portion for my wife and I. We also shared the Vermicelli with grilled chicken and wasnt able to finish either of the dishes. This time I ordered Vermicelli with Grilled beef #39 and my wife ordered Fine Vermicelli with Grilled Chicken #44A. The meats were all perfectly seasoned and tender. My wife keeps talking about how delicious her dish was even the day after. The price for the 6 of us was around $100, how amazing is that? Quality and quantity at an amazing price. Now to give you some perspective, I grew up in Modesto, but we have lived in LA for the past 13 years now. We both agree that this is better than the Vietnamese restaurants weve had in Southern California, and we have had quite a few. Its that good. Its my parents new favorite go to restaurant and even my brothers, who have a deep resentment of all things Modesto, really enjoyed it. If you read through my review, do yourself a favor and just eat here. You wont regret it.

Drew Mabry Really loved this place. Atmosphere was an 11 out of 10. Super cool. Staff was amazing. Really made it feel like a special experience. Tons of parking. Food was excellent and for what it was very reasonably priced. Service was amazing and really appreciated. The manager coming by to tell us about the place and answer any questions and ask about us. We want us a large party for a birthday and everyone had a really great time.

MadMar My husband just found this place and he said it was new. So we went, I ordered the Chile verde plate and it came with handmade corn tortillas and it was good. As soon as you sit down they give you beans with cheese and salsa and chips. Beans were tasty. Service was amazing. You are greeted as soon as you come in. All the staff check on you. Great new Mexican food place. We are definitely going again.

Cristina Franco I love coming to Bocanova, the service is always so attentive, the music choices and level of noise is optimal and I havent even gotten to the food! this time I ordered the Shrimp Louie salad followed by the Cúpula de Limón, both absolutely delicious! cant wait to come back with friends and family.

Jason Williams A old building that has been beautifully updated. Huge bar with plenty of televisions. Also plenty of tables for eating. Western Burger was presented well and delicious. The clam chowder and salad was good. Really good dressing. The star was the fries and tots! Perfect crunch to them. The staff was really good about helping with what to order. There was other options to eat but we passed them up to try this and it showed why they have such good ratings.
