KAIDO Japanese Restaurant - Grass Valley

Rating: 4.4 /5
Brian Gernhardt My wife and I have lived in GV for a year and a half now. We moved from the bay area where there are as many sushi restaurants as there are liquor stores, theyre everywhere. Here in GV they are few and far between. Wed been wanting to try Kaido for a while but had not gotten around to it and were somewhat skeptical of a Foothill sushi joint. Until today. We have eaten at roughly 20-30 different sushi restaurants as adults and I say Kaido is probably top 3. Nigiri, sashimi, and their curated rolls are all 10/10. If you get the opportunity to eat here, I 100% recommend it. You will not be disappointed with the flavor and quality of the food. The wait staff is amazing too. Very customer friendly and knowledgeable. We found our new go to place for sushi.

Bing’s Lake Almanor Bistro - Chester

Rating: 4.4 /5
Gary Burghart An unexpectedly good Asian meal. The menu is massive (maybe too big!), but the Bento boxes we chose were delicious. The serving size was generous—our pictured box even included a huge salad. Highly recommend Bing’s if you’re in the area.

Esperanza on the Rooftop - Paso Robles

Rating: 3.4 /5
Katie Marlow Esperanza at the AVA Hotel just opened in Paso Robles and it’s fantastic. The atmosphere is beautiful and feels like a little tropical escape. The cocktails are excellent and we loved snacking on the carnitas fries and chips with guac. They have plenty of light bites and some main dishes if you’re hungry. The downtown location is perfect, and it’s a great spot to relax and enjoy a night out.

& Waffles - Long Beach

Rating: 4.8 /5
Kati P DONT SKIP WAFFLE DAY. Service was incredible, at peak time on a Saturday we had no wait for a table, and the food was amazing. Our server was one of the owners, and he anticipated our needs and truly went above and beyond. We ordered iced mochas that were absolute perfection - not too sweet - and our waffles were crisp but airy beyond belief. Flavor was not lacking, and the bacon was perfectly cooked. Serges Churro Waffle was the perfect dessert after our meal, too! Parking was a dream, the garage right next door has plenty of space and they provide a validation ticket.
