Alex Madonna’s Gold Rush Steak House - San Luis Obispo

Rating: 4.4 /5
Jeff Allen Definitely something you have to experience. The food was a home run, really really good. The staff was amazing, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Place is decorated for Christmas and words cant really do justice to how nice it looks. There are some cool restrooms down stairs for the men to check out, definitely recommend that, lol. Overall I would definitely recommend this place, and look forward to returning again soon.

Bestia - Los Angeles

Casey Purer Picked up my husband and headed straight to Bestia for our late reservation, and the night did not disappoint. They offer valet, but we lucked out and found street parking right in front — already a win in LA. From the moment we sat down, our server was warm, attentive, and paced the meal perfectly. Service truly elevated the whole experience. Drinks • Riesling – crisp, clean, and paired well with seafood. • Seven Faces – a passion-fruit-forward pisco cocktail. Bright, tropical, and so easy to sip. Apps • Bone Marrow – rich, buttery, and a great start. • Scallops – absolutely incredible. Perfectly seared and full of flavor. One of our favorites of the night. Mains • Lobster Squid Ink Spaghetti – good, but probably the least memorable compared to the rest of the meal. • Branzino – standout entrée. Perfectly cooked, beautifully deboned, and just delicious. We skipped dessert since our reservation was at 9pm, but honestly, the savory courses alone made the visit worth it. We can see exactly why Bestia is one of the top-rated spots in LA — the quality, flavors, and service all live up to the hype. We’ll definitely be back to try more!

prezelonline Ambiance ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Located in the Arts District, the space is beautiful — semi-outdoor and filled with natural light. There’s an art gallery right next door, and the moment you walk in, it feels very artsy and thoughtfully designed. Super photogenic and definitely a place you’d want to take pictures. Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Honestly exceeded expectations. I didn’t come in with super high hopes for the food, but everything was surprisingly good. The cream biscuit was a standout — probably the crispiest biscuit I’ve ever had, and it paired perfectly with the butter and apricot jam. The salmon with bread was also delicious, and the bread itself was a big plus — very crisp and well done. Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Came for the vibes, stayed for the food. A rare case where a “pretty brunch spot” actually delivers on taste. Would definitely come back again.

Nellos Place - Redding

Distant Dreams I was looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and our engagement while in Redding and heard of this place. I have to say I was more than happy with the choice. We ordered a chicken piccata, chicken marsala, and chicken Alfredo with a Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. We were gifted 2 complimentary cheesecakes to celebrate. They were THE BEST cheesecakes Ive ever had. 1000% recommend for a romantic evening. And they give you ROSES at the end of your dinner!

Jennifer Murphy We had a fantastic birthday dinner for my husband. The hostess added a sweet card and rose petals to the table. Our waiter, Carey helped us decided on the perfect bottle of wine that paired well with the duck two ways and the wagyu ribeye which were both delicious! We started with the soup and persimmon and burrata salad and finished with dessert but the star were the salad, entrees and wine along with attentive service. I’m glad we made time as it was an enjoyable evening.

Justin K Great service. Atmosphere is lively. It was completely packed by the time we left at 8pm. Reservation is recommended. Even the bar seats were filled - so it may be hard for a walk-in. The portion size was in the smaller end. We ordered about 2 appetizers, 2 smaller, 2 veggies and 2 platters. The whole chicken did the job of filling us up - could have had more spices. It was a little bland. However, the other smaller dishes were great.
