5 /5 Hiramatsu Yoshiko (Yoshi): Fantastic food and what an amazing service! We enjoyed their meat balls, hamachi crudo and the signature Lamb tzatziki pizza, not to mention a whole lot of other delicious dishes on offer. Do not miss their famous fantastic Caesar salad with the perfect dressing, with the right amount of anchovies, flavoursome croutons and loads of fluffy Parmesan shaving to top it all off. Their homemade pistachio Tiramisu and strawberry sorbet was irresistible even after a BIG meal. Highly recommend!

5 /5 John Ou: been a long time since i really checked out highland park though my first residence after graduating college was in highland park. what a change in the scenery, especially among the shops and restaurants. if wildcrust is an example of the new places here then highland park’s future looks bright. i came here to try the pizza and it did not disappoint. there are, i think, six or seven pizzas and they are all slightly bigger than personal sizes but ideal for sharing. get two and you can share among two or three people. i went for the salame one which is more traditional but it has a slight kick to it, more flavor than heat. the crust was sourdough and i imagine it was either a coal- or wood-fired oven. thin crust, totally balanced and sublime. angelina the GM came by to check on me and convinced me to try the meatballs. they did not disappoint either. they were crispy on the outside so i imagine they were probably baked and then put onto a grill after. whatever they did, there was a ton of flavor. angelina is super warm and friendly and has a smile that makes you feel like an old friend. the place has a great neighborly feel. parking is a little challenging but a small price to pay. i will be back. what a cool find.

3 /5 Daniel John: Great atmosphere inside, hospitality was friendly but a bit rushed. It was a busy Saturday night but it did kind of give the vibe of “how fast can we turn this table.” Drinks were nice and reasonably priced. We had three dishes: 1) beets appetizer. I’d skip this one. You can’t see in the photo but the beets were pickled/marinated little 1/8 inch squares. Tasted like the canned kind. The beets chips on top were A+. 2)Honeynut squash. A+++ absolutely order this. It was amazing, crispy, sweet, rich, lots of flavor. One of the best things we’ve had anywhere. 3) Salame pizza. It was good, unfortunately didn’t blow us away. The crust was OK, but the pie was ruined by the sauce in our opinion. It leaned a little ketchup tasting and wasn’t our taste.

3 /5 Jordan: Been meaning to try wild crust for a while especially as a local resident of the neighborhood. My wife and I were about to go to bub and grandma’s new pizza shop on York but realized they didn’t have seating so we wound up here. The outdoor patio of Wildcrust is fabulous, vibey, and a local family vibe. Lots of artistic couples with their kids. We kicked off the meal with a watermelon salad which was very refreshing and tasty, the heirloom tomatoes in the salad were somewhat mid level in flavor. But that might not be the restaurant’s fault we are nearing the end of tomato season. We also had the artichokes which our server mentioned were more antipasti style, and they were a miss. They did not mention that the artichokes were Smokey in flavor on the menu. We also ordered the meatballs and they fell apart immediately and the texture of them was soft and underdone. Key take away is that the more adventurous apps on the menu are not your best move here, go for the Caesar salad and pizza, maybe even the grilled items. We chose not to go for the grilled zucchini because we were told by the server that they use a vegan gelatin in the cheese emulsion sauce which sounded not so appetizing. Next we moved on to the pizza which was solid, it reminded me a bit of the Roberta’s style pie. Small size pie but loaded with flavor, not quite at the level Roberta’s but enjoyable. Definitely will make a trip back here the wine list was expansive.

5 /5 Bruce Li: This place blew me away. Ambiance was great and food was phenomenal. I expected the pizza to be great, and it was (the lamb tzatziki pizza is a must-try). But what really shocked me was how delicious all the other dishes were — the octopus was maybe the most tender I’ve ever had in my life, the cabbage was perfectly prepared, and the duck mousse with apple relish was a delightful combo. Highly recommend
