5 /5 Rose Jannuzzi: Today was my second visit to Wood & Salt. The food and service is outstanding. All the dishes we ordered were flavorful. Always wonderful to find a hidden gem like Wood and Salt. Dog friendly on their outside patio too!

5 /5 Deserie Renteria-Rodriguez: We were tried Wood & Salt Tavern, centrally located in Bixby Knolls. The service was great, the food superb and hubby said his Old Fashion was the best he’s had in quite some time. He had the chicken Parmesan with burrata and I had the fettuccine with clams. Both dishes with homemade fresh pasta. The portions were perfect for us and I saw that some dishes can be ordered in appetizer size. We had the calamari appetizer with fresh pesto and spicy marinara. Delicious! Highly recommend.

From the moment we walked in, Gabriel greeted us with the warmest welcome and let us choose any seat we liked. No pushiness, no upsell — just that perfect, low-key hospitality that makes you want to stay a while. I ordered the grilled Caesar with chicken breast, and it was spot on. The greens were crisp, the dressing had just the right bite, and the chicken was tender and flavorful with a beautiful char. My husband went for the paccheri with spicy mushroom sauce and added chicken — comforting, rich, and just enough heat to make it interesting without being overpowering. The vibe? Rustic, warm, and clean — think reclaimed wood, soft lighting, and little European touches that make you feel like you’ve wandered into a cozy tavern tucked into a stylish neighborhood in Paris or Barcelona. It’s elevated but never pretentious. Honestly, it’s the kind of place you want to keep to yourself… but also can’t stop telling people about.

3 /5 Leo: The food was stellar. The short rib is so tender it melts in your mouth. Their esquite pasta was delicious and the Housemade bread was crispy and full of flavor. The quality of the food was great. You can tell everything is made to order. The only gripe I have is the service and the servers not respecting personal space. Outside there’s a sign that says “please wait to be seated” so naturally I waited to be seated. A few minutes go by and no one comes out to seat us, but we can clearly see the bartender at the end of the room on his phone. Since nobody came out we walked in and the bartender put his phone down and showed us to our table. When we sat at our table our server was very kind and attentive but when we closed out the check he grabbed my girlfriends shoulder as he bid us farewell. It was not malicious nor was it received in that way, but it’s a good practice to keep one’s hands to themselves.

5 /5 Joy Raskie: Great atmosphere, trendy but chill. Waiter was very knowledgeable on all food and drink and had great suggestions. We ordered calamari and brussel sprouts as appetizers which were delicious. Main course The fish was delicious as well as the ribeye and hanger steak. They also had a nice kids menu. Would definitely recommend for great food, great vibes and a nice evening out
