Al Dentes - (Near St Johns, FL)

5 /5 Brian Yost: We were a table of seven for dinner this past Saturday. The food was excellent, entrees and appetizers all very much enjoyed by all. I had the short rib with mashed, which I definitely recommend. We were also quite impressed with our server, Kat - super confident about menu questions, very attentive without being intrusive, and she telegraphed upcoming item deliveries very effectively, without us needing to ask. Excellent service!

5 /5 A Queens Oasis: I took my son to Al Dentes for his birthday. This is our second time eating here. The outside makes it seem small; however, once you walk in you realize it is quite large. They have a full bar where you can sit and order food and drinks. They also have the bar style sitting tables in this area. In the back part is the traditional style sitting area. They have a large selection of wines and full bar drinks. The food menu is delectable. The noise level is low enough to hold a conversation with those at your table, but high enough to not be able to hear conversations at other tables. The wait staff and bartender are awesome. Since tips are shared across the board, everyone tends to check on you. They do not go get your waiter to complete a task. They do it themselves. My son ordered a chocolate cake for dessert and they brought it out with a candle and sang Happy Birthday to him. I did not ask for it to be done. I had mentioned before the beginning of our order that this is the place he chose to have his birthday lunch at. Their added touch of singing and celebrating with us definitely has made me a patron for life. I absolutely love the food, wine, and mostly the staff here.

4 /5 Alejandra Giler: Nice quiet atmosphere, the service was good, the lady was attentive and super friendly. The food was good, let me tell you, the Caesar salad lacked dressing big time, and the chicken francese was soupy - though the flavor was there, it was too much liquid. The bread was spot on :) I would come back

1 /5 Brent Collins: We had reservations for 5:30pm on a Monday night for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children). We arrived 10 minutes early and were seated immediately as the restaurant was not busy. Our orders were taken by 5:30. Everything seemed to be going great. After waiting an hour and still not having our food I asked our waitress why our food was taking so long. She said the food would be right out. I waited another 10 minutes and informed the waitress that we would be leaving if our food wasnt out in 5 minutes. We watched two other tables get seated after we ordered our food, both of which received their food while we continued to wait. The waitress then said our food would be out in 7 minutes. After waiting another 8 minutes, and still not receiving our food, I requested our check for our appetizers and informed her we would be leaving. She brought us our check and we paid for our 2 appetizers and left. Never did she provide any apology or explanation for why our food was taking so long. Needless to say, we wont be back.

1 /5 shannon bendrich: We have been to Al Dente’s since they were open, We do understand that now restaurants are hard business, that’s why when they reduce amount of appetizers we didn’t complain.But today we had lunch again and were absolutely shocked to find a metal nail inside our calamari. Yes—a nail. When we brought it to the manager’s attention, he casually replied, and what he said is shocked me “It’s also protein.” While he is busy on his cell phone ! That response was not only disrespectful, but also dangerously irresponsible. This is a serious food safety issue that could have caused real harm. We expected an apology or at least concern, but instead we were dismissed. Absolutely unacceptable. We won’t be returning—and we sincerely hope others are careful when dining here.
