Milly’s Cafe - Defuniak Springs

Rating: 4.9 /5
Courtney Shay Just had a lovely experience at Milly’s! Lunch is cafeteria style, which is perfect for our rainy road trip with our dogs where we don’t want to be stuck eating on a patio and we don’t want to leave them in the car while we eat inside. Fried chicken moist and juicy, fried okra truly some of the best I’ve ever had and RIGHT out of the fryer. Nothing was greasy. Chicken sausage gumbo was super tender and authentic, and clearly made with fresh vegetables. Sides were all winners….collards, butter beans were my favorite. The only critique I have that isn’t really a critique is that the side needed a bit of added salt and hot sauce (add their homemade pepper vinegar) but I enjoyed being able to salt to my preference. Service is exactly what you want from a Southern restaurant! The gentleman running the cash register was so sweet, and when I forgot to order my coffee and came back to get one, he gave me a to-go cup and refused to let me pay for the coffee. Very sweet gesture and I wish I could eat here weekly! Our total bill for two meals (large protein + 2 sides and an extra side of okra) came out to $26. This would be double the price in Saint Pete. We ate our food next to the lake while admiring all of the beautifully decorated (it’s Christmas time) southern-style homes around the lake. Defuniak Springs was just a 30-minute stop on our road trip home to St Pete, but after our experience at Milly’s, we are already planning to come back to spend a full weekend here. Thanks Milly’s!

Iron Eagle Bar & Grill - Okeechobee

Rating: 4.6 /5
Joshua Tomczek I can remember the best burger Ive ever had, this was easily the second best burger Ive ever had! Feisty Eagle. We had the Feisty Eagle burger, cheese burger, I had the French Onion soup, and we had the loaded fries (cant recall the name) 1 beer, and 1 soda. Everything was delicious! And reasonably priced. Total came to just under $53 My French onion soup was only 3.50 and was big enough to be a meal on its own. Will definitely be back, and will spread the word. So far my favorite place to eat in Okeechobee!

Blackbird Modern Asian - Naples

Ham burglar Trust me, they dont need my 5 Star Review..this place has the traffic, this place has the goods ! The goods? Ill explain : for one, The menu is dynamite and nothing we tried was below " Delicious ". And we tried alot. The service was absolutely dynamite and our server Angie was the one to deliver that dose of TNT . When you combine delicious food with out-of-this-earth-service you get this place : One Hell of a restaurant! Angie was attentive but in the best way possible. She knew the job and she executed it with such precise detail that I almost shed a tear ( for the sheer beauty of her timing alone ). Well be back. And btw, dont come here if youre cheap. Tip the server, the hostess and than your valet!

Olga Courtnage The only place we found open on Thanksgiving!!! And it was absolutely perfect. Its very nicely decorated, everything hadxa vintage touch and we quote liked it. Service was excellent, even though the place was very busy. The food is delicious - on the pricy side but we went for a special occasion so didnt mind. Pasta is amazing, tasted authentically homemade. Dessert was very good - a bit expensive. Coming from Canada though everything converts as "expensive,". Overall highly recommend for a nice and enjoyable outing.

Pamplemousse on the Bay - Miami Beach

Rating: 4.7 /5
Luis Martinez 12/27/25 Pamplemousse on The Bay When we visited for the first time, we had an amazing “Sunset Hour.” We went for drinks and appetizers and of course, the Sunset and spectacular views of Miami. Our second time around was disappointing, not because of the views or our waitress, Rekkas, but of the confusion around the food. Before we visit a restaurant, we like to see the menu online to have an idea of what we would like to eat. When we got to the restaurant, we were informed that it was under new management and that they had a new menu. No problem, we inquired about the day’s special and the waitress sent one of the owners. He went over the menu and we decided on the Pan Seated Scallops, Special of the day. It was only three scallops on a butter sauce. When we asked, they told us that they got confused and that the plate was an appetizer. We also had “The Lemon Spaghetti with Caviar”. This plate is listed as $19.00 on the menu and if you add Caviar it says $29.00. They charged was $48.00 for the spaghetti. I called the restaurant and spoke to one of the owners/managers and he was kind enough to refund some of the charges because of the confusion. Despite what happened, we had a great time and we are recommending Pamplemouse on the Bay. “Eat deliciously”
