5 /5 Vanessa Toves: What a wonderful date night we had at Cowford Chophouse. We started the evening with a cocktail and appetizer on the rooftop. The service and salmon dip was on point up there. We moved down to the 2nd floor and continued by sharing the scallops and I had the most delicious lamb chops I’ve had since I was in Australia. My wife had the NY steak. Our server surprised us with a free dessert of our choosing since we were celebrating our 11Th anniversary. The ridiculous chocolate cake was delicious. All in all, we enjoyed our evening at Cowford and look forward to our next celebration there.

3 /5 Andrea Nausadis: Okay, it wasnt bad, let me start with that. It was pretty delicious. But was it 100/plate delicious? No way. We asked for a medium steak. My husband generally prefers medium well but knows thats sacrilege in a place like this and said medium. Came out medium rare at best. Its a 100 dollar steak! Cook it a few more minutes! The sides and drinks were average. Weve been to several steak places just in Jacksonville that have far exceeded this place and the cost wasnt nearly so much. They also sat us right next to other couples when half the restaurant was empty....a little privacy would have been nice. And my husband sat in the outside chair and spent most of the meal being blinded by the fading sun. Very disappointed overall.

2 /5 Rafael: Went for dinner last night! Excellent cocktails and incredible full service at the bar. The servers and bartenders were very attentive. Regarding atmosphere, it smells like sewage when you walk in. Overtime it faded/I acclimated but it’s a terrible first impression. The steak frites was extremely salty, I packed it up but even at home it’s inedible. To be a steak house that was a huge miss for me. The duck fat cornbread is delicious, wedge salad was good, excellent portions and the chocolate cake is yummy—and even better warmed up at home. Would recommend a warm chocolate dessert be added to the menu.

5 /5 svetlana polo: We had an excellent steak—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The lobster bisque was absolutely incredible, rich and delicious. The cocktails were also amazing, beautifully made and very tasty. Highly recommend this place for a great dinner!

4 /5 Erin Duffy: Went to the rooftop first since there was a wait for our table even though we had a reservation. About 20 minutes later, the hostess came up to the rooftop, but not for us. My friend asked the hostess if it’s ok if we come downstairs to dine a little later as we just ordered an appetizer. She said that was fine. We came downstairs about 30 minutes later and she said she forgot to tell us that we were already past our reservation time and so now the wait is around a half hour for a table. That was frustrating. It was a beautiful evening though, so it was nice to be outside and so we decided to just have dinner on the rooftop which had plenty of open seating. The salmon dip appetizer was tasty. The wedge salad seemed like the blue cheese dressing was a little watery, but overall still a good salad. The crab cakes had a good amount of lump crab meat in them, so I was happy with that. And the server on the rooftop was always pleasant.
