2 /5 Sarah Mosley: We were there the week before Christmas. It was supper time. We were immediately seated. I ordered Sunday fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and corn bread. My husband ordered the chicken, hash brown casserole, broccoli, biscuits.
Let me say both our orders of chicken was very hot, fresh cooked and breading was really good. My mashed potatoes were Luke warm, at best. My green beans, were small smashed up pieces. The corn bread was good. The sever did not refill my tea. My husband’s chicken also was delicious. His broccoli was ok. The hash brown casserole was like it had been sitting all day and very small portion. We were very disappointed. If it had not been for the chicken, I’d have given them a 1. We asked twice for a box for a piece of my chicken and waited probably ten minutes. While we waited we heard a server tell another customer they were out of green beans and broccoli, at supper time! That is why my green beans were the way they were, the bottom of the pot. We were just not excited like we were accustom to at Cracker Barrel. This is the second time recently the food was just ok and portions seem to be half what they were in the past.
