James F My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and had a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding. The steak was perfectly cooked with seasoning that stood out as some of the best we’ve had. The lobster and seafood platter were fresh and flavorful, and the sweet potato fries were easily the best we’ve ever tasted. The service was excellent from start to finish. Staff were attentive without being intrusive, and they even surprised us with a complimentary dessert to mark our anniversary. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. We had a window seat overlooking the water, which made the evening feel even more special. Pricing was very fair for the quality of food and service we received. We would definitely recommend St. Johns River Steak & Seafood, especially for special occasions or anyone looking for a memorable meal by the water.

Valerie Parmele Our Birthday outing for moms birthday. Was exceptional. My steak was cooked to perfection, seasoned wonderfully. My husband ordered captain seafood platter. Seafood was cooked perfectly, great portions. Mom ordered hamburger steak dinner. She said it was delicious. Our server Jessica made sure our tea glasses stay filled. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Monica Had breakfast Saturday morning right after they opened. There was no wait and we were seated right away. Howleys has a retro diner anesthetic which takes you back. The service is friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the country fried steak with sausage gravy and a side of home fries. The steak was well seasoned and tender, home fries were crispy. We also ordered the southern eggs Benedict which was slow cooked pulled pork over sweet cornbread with perfectly poached eggs. I will definitely be back.

daniel This is the prettiest resturant in pompano. The hostess Rose was so impressive. She had a very detailed , extensive knowledge of everything on the menu, not to mention the wine list. She was very personable and engaging in conversation with us. The carbanara was authentic as it gets...not cream in this dish....just pure egg yolks like it was meant to be!!! The in house lemoncello recipe was the best most refreshing drink I have ever had. Thank you to you and your staff for a great experience. Rose even talked us to coming back this weekend to enjoy the live music they offer on the weekends.

Arelys Delgado Fantastic service and food!! We came to this great little gem on Christmas Eve for the first time. We were greeted as we were coming in the door as if we were regulars and long time friends of the staff and amazing owner Jojo. Diane was our incredible and kind waitress. She was funny and so attentive. She really helped and cared for my gluten free diet. She went back a few time to confirm food was gluten free. Diane is the kind of waitress I would like to clone and have at every restaurant experience. The clam chowder soup was the best one I have ever had and it was gluten free, the wings are not breaded but not fully gluten free since they are fried in oils with other foods with wheat, but honestly I was ok with that and they were tasty and not dried at all. My husband had the Caribbean steak kabobs and it was delicious and tasty. He also ordered the onion rings that were beer battered and they are cut and made when ordered which shows how extra fresh they were. He said they were very good. The atmosphere was great and they were getting ready to get Karaoke started and sadly we couldn’t stay for it. There were several locals super ready to sing and seems like a regular occurrence there. Big family and friends.
