The Dog House - Pensacola
Patrick Greene As a former restaurateur with a deep appreciation for thoughtful menu execution and service, I can confidently say this place exceeded expectations.
The Brussels sprout appetizer was a standout—perfectly balanced and far from the uninspired versions that have become common. It’s clear the kitchen understands how to elevate familiar ingredients. Our server, Sydney, managed a busy floor with grace and attentiveness, even as Gallery Night crowds picked up—an impressive feat in itself.
While I was initially disappointed they were out of Blue Moon, the local Riptide from Pensacola Bay Brewery was a more-than-worthy substitute. On Sydney’s recommendation, I tried the Cuban sandwich, and she was absolutely right—it’s one of the best I’ve had outside of Miami. I’m not typically a fan of fries, but the hand-breaded onion rings she suggested were crisp, flavorful, and genuinely memorable.
The combination of a great menu, local brews, and high-level service made this an excellent dining experience. Whether you’re a local or visiting for Gallery Night, I highly recommend stopping in. As a realtor who often suggests places to clients new to the area, this one will definitely be on my list.
